You are not wrong, but it’s not just that. Fighters, at least generally speaking, were not so well rounded, so there were clashing styles and more things “worked”. Not to mention that many were killers first and athletes second, while now most manage to keep their shit under control and stick to very specific, often boring gameplans. That’s why a guy such as Khamzat is so exciting.Nah,it was just newer.
Once the bloom is off the rose people blame the sport and not them being older and their enthusiasm waning. Face it,it will never be new and fresh as when you first got into it.
But then again, I admit I’m a bit biased when it comes to the scene of 20 years ago.
