Old Movies You Actually Like

Any John Wayne movie, Wizard of Oz, and one of my all time favorites, The Hustler with Paul Newman

Almost everything pre 70s is shit.
I'm sure there are some really good movies before 1970. There are a ton of classics that people love from very early on in the movie business. I just haven't seen any of them

King Kong (1933) is also one of my favorite films.

No one ever gets my "wouldnotbedifficultmeinfuhrer!" reference

12 angry men is phenomenal. I like The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) as well.

Yea 12 Angry Men from 1957 is actually considered one of the greatest movies of all time, from any time period.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a critic score of 100% and an audience score of 97%.

I was on an Alfred Hitchcock binge. Favorites were:

Then I looked even farther back:

I really liked Casa Blanca

"Here's to looking at you, kid."

What're we using as the cutoff line to what's a classic movie and what's a modern movie? I think pre1970 would be a decent cutoff point.

Ben Hur, old spartan movie about 300, movie about Solomon king of Israel. Some Audrey Hepburn movies.

The War of the Worlds
The Blob
13 Ghosts

Them old Sinbad movies as well and The Clash of the Titans.
