The Xbox Wireless Headset is getting a refresh

Sound shapes the way we experience games, adding dimension and depth to every action, interaction, and atmosphere. From the epic swell of a battle soundtrack to the quiet tension of a stealth mission, audio plays a crucial role in creating unforgettable gaming moments. That’s why we’ve refreshed the Xbox Wireless Headset, introducing key enhancements to elevate your audio experience to new heights.

Now featuring Dolby Atmos at no additional cost, this updated headset delivers immersive, spatial audio that brings games to life in vivid detail. We’ve also improved battery life, offering up to 20 hours of playtime*, upgraded the microphone with enhanced auto-mute and voice isolation for crystal-clear communication, and now feature Bluetooth 5.3. Combined with its sleek, all-black design, the new Xbox Wireless Headset remains an essential addition to any gaming setup.

So with all the hullabaloo about the new Call of Duty launching day 1 on Game Pass I’m still left wondering when are we going to get the Call of Duty back catalogue? I wouldn’t mind playing through the campaigns of the some of the older titles on my Series X rather than having to dust off my PS3 if I wanted to play Ghosts or Advanced Warfare, or even play some of the really old games that I never had to begin with like COD 2.

Has there been any indication as to when or even if they’ll put them up on Game Pass someday?

No not yet

Nobody really knows. Lots of speculation of course but that's about it.

Jez Corden claimed that when he asked about the MS exec basically told them anytime you are wondering about XXX coming to GP and why it hasn't it's 99% of the time going to be a licensing issue.

Others think they just want to keep dripping it out for the dryer months of GP. Could be a mix of both.

Razer Xbox controller on sale.

"Xbox gamers should check out this deal on the Razer Wolverine V2 Chroma controller that is now available at just $59 on Amazon. This huge drop from its typical price tag of $149.99 comes with savings of over $90 for anyone looking to add a super-capable controller to their collection. The controller, with features like the so-called mecha-tactile buttons and excellent customizability, is now as cheap as it has ever been, so take advantage of the deal right now.

Razer is often considered one of the pioneers of the gaming peripherals industry, developing iconic gaming mice for decades. However, since its original Boomslang, the company has grown immensely. These days, Razer operates far beyond just gaming peripherals and accessories. However, while it offers everything from smartphones to gaming furniture, its core business is still in peripherals such as the Viper gaming mice, Kraken headsets, and game controllers like the Wolverine V2 Chroma."

Don't pay extra for a disc drive! The standard Xbox Series X is now the same price as the All Digital edition.

"Looking to save money on an Xbox Series X but don't want to wait until the Black Friday rush? Microsoft has discounted the console's standard, 1 TB Carbon Black edition by $50. The price change makes the standard Xbox Series X just $449, the same price as the All Digital Xbox Series X in Robot White."

This is pretty weak.
Two and a half years ago I bought a Series X, with Halo Infinite, and an extra controller for $550.

Didn't Microsoft give their consoles a price increase a while back?
Yep, they did.... in most countries.

So now they're decreasing their prices to compete with the PS5pro launch... silently not announcing any attempt at a mid-generation upgrade. They're bowing out of that challenge because the PS5 has beat their XBox console sales 2-to-1 this generation.

OPINION: After a year of confusion, Xbox is closing out 2024 with a ton of momentum, and plenty of cause for optimism

Mega-hit Genshin Impact is breaking its PlayStation console exclusivity to arrive on Xbox.

"It feels like Xbox has been working tirelessly to ensure that Xbox customers aren't treated as second class citizens by major third-party publishers, and the work seems to be paying off in droves. Almost soon as I'd penned an article blasting Microsoft for failing to land Genshin ImpactGenshin Impact was announced for Xbox. I wrote previously my frustrations on Square Enix not supporting Xbox with its nostalgic Final Fantasy franchise, and we've seen Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters hit Xbox consoles, and a confirmation that Final Fantasy 16 is on the way for Xbox too.

Final Fantasy producer Naoki Yoshida and Mistwalker producer Hironobu Sakaguchi recently described in an interview how the upcoming RPG Fantasian Neo Dimension has adopted a multi-platform approach to include Xbox specifically, to reach a broader audience.

Perhaps the biggest coup of recent times, though, has been Death Stranding. Death Stranding was published by PlayStation when it launched originally five years ago, and the Hideo Kojima-made title was the first his studio penned after leaving Konami and the famed Metal Gear franchise behind. Xbox fans had lamented that Hideo Kojima's titles might forever eschew Xbox, but despite everything, Death Stranding hit Xbox just last week. The game immediately hit #2 on the best-sellers list behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 itself."

Does anyone have the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 headset? They are on sale on Amazon right now and i was thinking of getting it as a Christmas gift for my brother in law so I'd liked to know how good they are. I wanted to get the Xbox Wireless Headset and was hoping to catch that on a sale but if they aren't that much better than the Turtle Beach ones I'll just pull the trigger on them.

It's crazy how much content someone who is new to Genshin will have the game is massive and completely free. I only spent money because I put in like 200+ hours and never gave them a dime.

$139.99

This is the lowest price I've ever seen for this controller. If you're a Prime member, you get free shipping also.

I got a Victrix for my PS5. It is easily one if the best controllers I've ever used an worth the price. Especially if you are a pad user for fighting games.

I hope Indy reviews well. Have had my eye on it and I will pick it up on the ps5 if it reviews well next year. With Naughty Dog not making Uncharted anymore I need something to fill in the gap. You guys playing this one on GamePass?

I didn't think it looked all that great but now that I've heard it's very heavy on the stealth I'm much more interested. The combat just looks dumb to me but if I can avoid it most of the time then I'm in.

I really hope it doesn't suck.
