We’ll see , I have no idea who to trust these days. Like we agreed in the dragon age thread, many reviewers are audience captured. Sadly enough I’ve gone from trusting independent reviewers to now going back and trusting the big outlets more again lmao. Even places like steam are ruined for me because of stuff like Helldivers and black myth reactionaries. The latter had 100k perfect scores within 30 minutes of release. For me I’ve found the most accurate scores on howlongtobeat and various trophy hunting sites. I think those attract a different type of gamer that completes games and cares less about culture stuff. For instance, people still attack Indy because of that one dev saying it’s being developed for modern audiences. Im rambling a bit but point is to be wary of certain reviews and always go to the comment section and that will tell you what kind of audience they attract. ACG is decentIt's really weird though because everyone has pretty much said the gameplay just isnt very good. Stealth, FPS combat, the AI is really dumb apparently. Guns are horrible to use. I was really hoping the stealth would be great. Puzzles are supposed to be excellent, so it the story, but the gameplay seems to be the worst part.
Yea I still trust steam the most but I recognize there will be issues here and there. Seems the most reliable for me overall though. We’ll see , I have no idea who to trust these days. My Xbox was updated today and it messed up the display settings once again and defaulted to lowest setting. 640x something shitty.
Restarting and playing with settings could only get it back to 1440p.
Apparently this has been going on for several years and has not been fixed. What a waste of time.
Mine does that shit sometimes. It's so annoyingMy Xbox was updated today and it messed up the display settings once again and defaulted to lowest setting. 640x something shitty.

That's what all those videos are. Clickbait to feed a confirmation bias (or ragebait adversarial viewers). Farm view time. Profit. Not sure what this guys actual deal is but it appears he has a few videos where he's praising xbox box and taking a dump on Sony.
Probably just doing it for the clicks.
I knew that's what it was the first time I saw it. I've been getting into more gaming news\podcast lately and it's filled with people like him. If you dig through the mud on youtube you can find a few reliable creators out there when it comes to gaming content but it's very rare from what I've seen. That's what all those videos are. I don't think anyone is mad at you. Honestly on this section of the forum I don't really see the war between fanboys of specific consoles like you would on some other gaming forums.Jeez guys, sorry. I didn't know. I didn't mean to post any spam. My bad.

In regards to that video, I first thought, ok this guy is an idiot for thinking being loyal to just one brand is the way to go. Glad he moved outside of his bubble.
Then I saw other videos of his where he's clearly favoring Xbox over Playstation, so I started to wonder if he ever really was pro Playstation in the first place. Then I just figured he's doing it for the clicks, like most people do.
The "word on the street" post I made earlier about Xbox's possible future came after I saw a number of videos of different people having different takes on the same information that is out there. What's interesting about these videos is they'll usually have a click-baity thumbnail that may seem controversial and/or game-changing, but then after you spend 20+ minutes watching the video you'll actually learn very little and their takes are often not nearly as strong as the thumbnails would have you believe.
This is the reality where everyone wants to be a content creator while very few actually make any kind of original material on their own.
ANYWAY back on topic- it does suck to see Xbox trying to find its identity. They definitely took console gaming to the next level with the OG Xbox and the 360. I feel like once more people at M$ wanted to get involved that's when they got them off course and killed the momentum.
Quite possibly the most tone deaf console reveal/press conference in history.![]()
THIS goober killed the momentum!![]()
