After losing to Hirata, could Lin Heqin be going the IG route like Hirata, in order to gain ONE’s favor? They always say, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em:

Very good point. I totally forgot that this was PPV. A PPV featuring mostly unknowns.
Mostly? Their headliner was a 3-1 vs 2-1 who needed to be replaced. Atleast their first event they tried to get Sarah Kaufman to make it noteworthy.
I'm happy local canadian girls are getting in pro fights but this is many levels below what Invicta fields.

Hey everyone Perez vs. Eggars is the first fight on the prelims. Saturday’s card is in Paris. Prelims start noon EST, 9am PT.

I first picked Perez by TKO because she has a few of them on her record. Then learned she hasn’t fought much high level competition. Eggars is coming off that strange loss a few weeks ago where there was a question about whether she tapped.

Eggars by submission.

I just want to stir the pot, and remind people that Weili wanted the fight with Carla to be held in Abu Dhabi.

Let's look at her record when fighting in Asia, compared to her record when fighting in the United States:

Taylor vs Zhang - US. Weili wins by decision.
Zhang vs Aguilar - China. Weili scores a brutal finish.
Torres vs Zhang - US. Weili wins by decision.
Andrade vs Zhang - China. Weili scores a brutal finish.
Zhang vs Joanna - US. Weili wins by decision.
Zhang vs Namajunas - US. Weili gets knocked out.
Namajunas vs Zhang II - US. Weili loses by decision.
Zhang vs Joanna II - Singapore. Weili scores another brutal finish.

History shows us that Weili is yet to finish a fight held in the US, instead winning competitive or razor close decisions. The only US held fight she competed in that ended with a finish... Was when Rose knocked her out in less than a round.

Wether the time zone changes, long flights, adjusted schedules, etc directly influence how she performs in the US, is up for assumption. But I wouldn't be shocked if Esparza vs Zhang goes the distance. Needless to say, (and bear with me) I'm rooting for the woman Joanna brutalized, to brutalize Weili for brutalizing Joanna herself. CARLA SMESH.

Honestly

I can see the fight already:

Fiona closes the distance for a td
Eggers goes for some judo stuff, gets the mount and then its either a tap or tko

It will be similar to her fight with jessy jess

Yeah I see it exactly the same. I watched a bunch of Perez's fights and I like her, she has character and doesn't look hopelessly inept (like a nearly all 145 and even most 135ers), she makes things really unpleasant for her opponent when she's on top and throws brutal elbows (of course, most of her opponents are south american regional cans with 0 wins so that helps, but still) (in her fight with her most credible opponent (now also a UFC fighter!) - her 1 loss, by DQ - she made things a bit too unpleasant, running the gamut of fouls from cage grabbing, back-of-head punching, groin kneeing, then finishing with a huge aljo-yanesque knee to a grounded opponent as a coup de gras, which she hilariously celebrated for minutes thinking it was a KO win when the ref stopped it - unfortunately the video stops before the real result is revealed to her) . She always goes for underhooks/bodylock takedowns. 'Rotten' Egger always likes to get overhooks and do her judo thang. In her fight vs Jessy Jess it was exactly like that - Jess relentlessly pursued bodylock/underhooks and got Judo'd. So....

one possible difference is that samurai fights cage is really tiny so clinching is inevitable, maybe she'll try and keep distance in a bigger UFC cage vs Egger (...probably not).
