Official Women's Division Discussion #27

I’m actually shocked. I thought she looked good enough in her fights. She was never dominated. Thought they would keep her around
Remember they are mostly still trimming the roster some. However, they did not decide to do it the way they did it before with a huge list of cuts at one time. They are now doing it after every event. If you lose and you have not been on a win streak or you are near the bottom half of the roster there is a good chance you might get cut. it is why I wanted Jinh to win her last fight so bad. She was probably gone if she lost that.

This is exactly what is happening, I wouldn't be surprised if Stoliarenko is next.

I doubt it. They need 135ers bad
Speaking on 135ers Marq said he had heard that the next TUF will be for W135. Take it with a grain of salt though because he does have sources in WMMA but he has not always been 100% right. I am just letting people know this might be coming in the future.

When did he say that!!!!???

It wouldn't be an issue if they didn't cut enough weight, to have to fight an entire weight class up because they'd die if they fought at "their weight class" frequently.

I'd be glad if they did hold TUF at either 135 or 145 though, as 125 has a good amount of fighters in the roster as it is.

Just gonna leave this here.

Watched both ladies fights on Fight Pass last night, and they both looked suspect as hell, although this new angle from LFA makes that one look less so.

'twas a truly splendid haymaker. Shit for technique but with the wind-up she had if she missed she would have spun around in complete circle.

Does anyone knows what’s true about Valentina Shevchenko being on a 6 months medical suspension (again)?
Haven’t heard anything about it over here. Does anyone knows?

She has said on several interviews she was ready to fight in late Sept or Early Oct. I would not get too concerned. These suspensions are issued anytime a fighter reports any pain or has bruising after a fight. Clearance by a doctor is all that is needed before this time. Also she fully participated in Antonina’s fight camp after her last fight.
