only miesha tate to the best of my knowledge

eta: my bad, didn't read the question properly - miesha was a high school wrestler prior to joining xtreme couture

She trained other places, also, I believe. Including TAM? I could very easily be wrong here.

That was a nice win but Whitmire is bottom of the barrel ufc SW, Ribas herself was smashed by Polyana Viana (0-2ufc sw) she's not going to be even top 15 in 18 months.
maybe, maybe not. but Ribas is just 25. it's too early to say where her ceiling is

No, it isn't. That Ribas has only briefly trained at ATT and isn't there full-time (unlike Whitmire, who has been training full-time at Extreme Couture for a long time) is a fact.

That not every female who trains at ATT magically improves or even becomes good is a fact.

Blaming a fighter's loss on their (solid) camp, however, is worse than conjecture; it's a sorry-ass, loser excuse.

so what you're saying is... riba's victory has nothing to do with att, and whitmire's loss has nothing to do with xc.

ok

Which of these fighters should be higher ranked/more deserving of a title shot?

Fighter A:
- Got a split decision over #10
- Got a decision over #9.
- Got a decision over #6.

Fighter B:
- Got a decision over a UNRANKED fighter.
- Got a sub over a UNRANKED fighter.
- Got a decision over #7.

You forgot to mention fighter B has a win over fighter A’s last loss.

Not relevant. Especially when you know fighter A has improved massively since that loss (years ago!) and was very ill at the time.

Which one will sell more tickets?

I know you probably thought you are making a good point, but even if we disregard that UFC rolls on stuff @Xuh and @leto1776 mention, 10/9/6 and -/-/7 are

<Goldie11>
Do not say it, Bill! NO!

Anyway, like em both a lot, what got booked is much cooler and better idea from any imaginable standpoint.

In other news, I just realized I don't know the first name of MMA Announcing Goldberg. <Eek2.0>

The one that is not named Waterson. Now take your meds.

of course it's relevant. just like it's relevant that Michelle lost every time she fought an elite fighter

I must have missed something somewhere. I just noticed Pannie Kianzad is fighting at UFC 239. I hadn’t heard she’d even been called up. I’ve been a bit awol for a month. But, her signing must have been before that, right?

announced a week or two ago. not the first time UFC signs a TUF-loser or DWCS-loser to fill in on a short notice replacement. good for her, she deserves it

Thanks, I wasn’t sure how I missed the news. Now I know that it was while I was awol.
