I hope that Julia Avila doesn't come into the UFC with the idea that she needs to be a more 'technical' kickboxer to compete, and then forgets to fight in the way that got her into the UFC (see: Lipski, Mueller, Grasso).

Random thought with beer - if Holm manages to dethrone Nunes tomorrow, given how hard the cut seemed for Amanda is she ever gonna try for 135 again, will we maybe see a rematch between them for the 145 belt next (which would no doubt finalize driving away Cyborg) or will UFC try to build for a Cyborg win over Nunes in a Rematch (just pay her whatever she asks and hope she doesn't pull a Machida and leave for reasons not directly tied to the dollar) to get Holm a rematch with Cyborg for the 145 belt (which should sell better than vs. Nunes, right) while Holly defends vs. Ladd (if she wins vs. GDR) or something. I dunno...

Nunes showed how much she weighed in before starting training camp for the Cyborg fight. It was 162 pounds. That's a decent cut, but nothing insane. And while she had to take off all her clothes, Nunes weighed in reasonably early and was perfectly coherent on the scale.

Compare that to Holm, who was one of the last 2 people to weigh-in, looked absolutely haggard, was rocking back and forth on the scale from the weight-cut, and at 37 years old, is feeling the effects more than 31 year-old Nunes.

What does "should" even mean in this context? They can consistently make 135 pounds, hence they do.

Does it hurt their long-term health on some level? Sure. So does doing professional MMA in general.

It was just an aside, I mean if she loses the belt and still has the 145 one, why bother cutting the bigger amount especially if she's on the later stages of her career.

The point - or lack of it, I think, was UFC's potential masterplan for easiest/moneyest way to make Holm a double champ if she captures the 135 gold - Cyborg again (if they manage to get Cyborg to stay and beat Nunes), or Nunes again?

in 4 fights will she be cut or will Dana relegate her to prelims on ESPN+ or Fight Pass.The reason

Jojo v Lee is a good fight, another step up for Lee, hope Jojo ends her run with something savage.
