Official Women's Division Discussion #25

Sucks about Mizuki. Sadanori Yamaguchi trains smart, well put together fighters; but literally everyone is injured except that 12 year old. Yukari retired from injuries before she finished high school, Naoki's shoulder exploded, Mizuki's knee, and now whatever happened. Bad luck or AKA Japan? Fingers crossed she got pulled and signed to UFC or something.

Hope Novaes can show up, and look good, but she kind of looked physically slowing down against Syuri & got beat up by Rena. Novaes has been fighting for at least a decade, it wouldn't be that bizarre if she were on the decline. So... just incase she bores it up or gets wasted by Morandin, Novaes at one point was the raddest brawler in wmma.

So PVZ stated she isn't ducking Jessica Eye on the MMA Hour, then Jessica tweeted this...

Na Liang vs Juliana Velasquez Friday at Bellator 189 according to Spike.com. That's a really good fight, between excellent grapplers. Not on her record, but Na Liang trashed Julia Berezikova in two minutes.

Kinberly Novaes replaces Mizuki in the Invicta 26 Card. That's too bad!! :-(

Fighting Jessica is a lose/lose situation at this point. You win? Big deal. She hasn't had a in in even longer than Kailin Curran. You lose? You're her first win in years, makes you look terrible.

Hardly ducking as much as it is avoiding a bad career choice

Weekend pro results (barring any I find) posted.

A few notes...

This weekend is going to be busy especially Friday with Bellator, Combates, the UFC and Glory all having events with multiple female bouts.

Crunched some numbers ahead of my bi-annual pro WMMA stats article. We are at 643 for the year now with December to go. We are on pace for 720 this year, which is 9 more than last year. Usually we have been growing around 80-100 fight a year more so the pace has slowed dramatically this past year.

Danielle Taylor vs. JJ Aldrich announced for UFC St. Louis Jan. 14

I'm guessing she's declaring her determination to make it back?

Love it. This weekend's gonna rock.

Well, I just think Aldrich has better skills in the sport of MMA. And Taylor is not one of them who is big and strong and huge just win with strong type wrestling sans skill. So as said, Taylor needs shenanigans, which I see as a very distinct possibility. It's about 50/50 - Aldric DEC via skills or Taylor by Shenanigans.

UFN 124 now has four women's fights with the addition of Taylor vs. Aldrich:

- Danielle Taylor vs. JJ Aldrich
- Irene Aldana vs. Talita Bernardo
- Jessica Eye vs. Kalindra Faria
- Paige VanZant vs. Jessica Rose-Clark

With Mizuki out... this officially makes my Invicta card complete... just delayed a bit haha

invicta should snap up heather jo clark pronto, she desrves it for beating the Bogan

Sad news for haymaker aficionados Cachoeira's bout said to be off, visa issues

Invicta could use help in all five weight divisions do
to the fact they have had some turnover coupled
with some of there new signings not being ready to
debut till next year.

Is there a thread for FC26 that I missed? Is anyone planning to attend the event? I've always wanted to go to an Invicta card, but I wouldn't want to go by myself. For some reason, I feel like it's akin to going solo to a strip club. Unless you're going there to watch someone you know, you usually don't roll fidolo.
