Multiplat Official Witcher 4 Discussion (2027)

CDPR apperantly said its not gameplay, just created for engine showcase

Yeah, that's why I'm emphasizing 'Tech Demo.' But let's be honest here, they wouldn't release that if they didn't want fans to have the expectation the final product will be around that ballpark.

'If it looks that good on a PS5, just how amazing would it look on PC with the modern hardware in 2027?'

Also it should be noted Witcher3 faced accusations of 'graphical downgrading' of the release date product in comparison to the gameplay trailers.

CDPR's controversies didn't start with CP2077 on its release date.

And I say all of this as someone who loves CDPR, Witcher3, and CP2077. I'm just reminding everyone who will read this to not get your expectations up too high.

I'm very sure Witcher4 will be a groundbreaking game....eventually.... though if it will be on Day1... let's hope CDPR learned the right lessons from their past mistakes and not over-emphasize the fact that CP2077 has sold 60 million copies.

I have a gut feeling it's going to be a flagship release for the new generation of consoles... The PS6 & new XBox.

Playable on PS5 & Series X/S, and modern PCs will be the most impressive, but the new consoles will be between them and will run at 60FPS.

Just a gut feeling.

lol at anyone falling for this crap yet again. They did the same thing with the tech demo for both of their previous titles. You can barely get a game out at 30 fps with ray tracing on base PS5. It won’t have this graphic fidelity either on release. They make great games but I will never support them on day one. Their games are best played a couple years after release. Hell I wouldn’t be shocked if they add another huge update to cyberpunk to celebrate the release of switch 2, maybe even another expansion. Maybe this is why I prefer smaller less ambitious projects. At least I know I’m getting the real deal on launch.

I've been wanting to replay CP2077 since I only played it when it came out but they wont stop updating the god damn game. Latest news is another anime is coming and most likely a new quest/DLC will be added to the game because of it.

Lmao for a split second I thought WOW had bought his way back onto this site

What got him banned this time?

Don't bother waiting.

What they added for the Edgerunners anime into an update ofCP2077 was...
*'Go here for a mission' and it shows a trailer for Edgerunners.
*Proceeds into a text conversation with a side-character from Edgerunners
*Go to a location to pick up David's jacket.

While it is true they're still 'adding more to the game,' it's also more accurate to say;at this point it's 99.999% complete.

Go play it now, with Phantom Liberty.

Cp77 is worth getting if you like the genre

I got it on discount last year and was well worth it put like 100 hours plus into it

Yea I think I'm going to do it soon. I have so many games on my plate right now though it's going to have to wait no matter what.

Yea I played it when it first came out and really liked it but apparently it's a different game now and Phantom Liberty is supposed to be really good. I'll get to it eventually.

lol at anyone falling for this crap yet again.

Sony are a investor in and minority share holder of Epic Games. With CD Projekt Red switching to Unreal Engine. Their last game release had sales suspended on Playstation.

This is a trifecta of corporate interests colliding for another Unreal Engine tech demo that are always smoke and mirrors.

It's so much better now, like miles better; became one of my favorite games ever, def top 5.

If you waited this long, you might as well wait a little longer, as it's surely getting something new.

I love this tease, like they're implying a new DLC/characters

Console mods are surely coming as well. I wouldn't want to play it without the survival mod (Dark Future), makes the apartment essential for sleep/anxiety reduction/injury heals. It reworks all of the consumables to fulfill hydration, food requirements, plus a different buffs. You can even take a snooze in your car, though an apt bed heals better.

The other one I can't play without it is Cyberware-Ex, where you can install two Cyberdecks, letting you use a Sandevistan and another to hack. It's so much fun!

These guys are day-one messes across platforms; the Wild Hunt sequel won’t be immune from that same overambition. PC cats deemed C/punk scant playable and a graphics card migraine, tallying Steam refunds in the 100s of thousands. Series X drops and map fallthrough. PS goulash. No-one in Night City was happy.

They’re an S-tier studio I’d never preorder from in support and/or excitement. I reckon their creativity and talent sit at opposite end to their management, execution. Didn’t their publication arm shareholders effectively sue the studio? I mean, damn, Gina, lol.

The turnaround that C/punk 2.0 is, has actually proven a Cinderella story in gaming history, agnostic of platform. The scoring alone for expansion is better than most actual music LPs, IMO. Heaps of talent over there but like Einstein can’t remember to tie their shoes or put on pants before leaving the house.

If they didn't have to spend all their money/time on the fuckups that was the release of the game there would have been multiple DLCs .

Looks like there might be more coming. This company already came out and said they were done with CP2077. I'm hoping there is some PS5 Pro support coming honestly.

I recall the last update was exclusively for PC and it only added small upgrades that high-end PCs could take advantage of.

The game is 99.999% done

That would be Hello Games, not CD Projekt Red.

2.0 patch came out 33 months after Cyberpunks release date. Which was released in conjunction with its first purchasable DLC. Remember the open world multiplayer aspect of the game was flat out canceled after the first delay announcement.

"I'll play Cyberpunk2077 after CDPR stops releasing updates for it."

Well apparently CDPR is releasing a new update for Witcher3, which was released over a decade ago.

Wasn't a lot of the issue there because they built their own engine though. Maybe working on an established engine will solve a lot of teething problems.

Anyway even if I tried to hold off buying this shit on day one there's absolutely no way I could. It's the sequel to my favourite game ever.
