Not that hyped since I heard you’re gonna play as Ciri.
I would have loved to create my own Witcher instead.
I don't think that would really work. It's a very character driven game.

They've previously commented Witcher4's map will be in similar size to Witcher3's.How big is the map?
I've never played a Witcher game so I was just curious.Fans don't want it to be like Just Cause, which had bigger and bigger maps with every sequel but nothing to do in them.
True, would be cool to create your own char and be able to choose your background and which Witcher school you’re a part of.I don't think that would really work. It's a very character driven game.

Bro, go play Witcher 3 and find out why so many of us consider it to be one of the best games ever.
In late 2019 and 2020 videos were made calling it the game of the decade.

This news is a new days old -
No word if the DLC will be small, medium, or expansion-sized (Probably... No) or if it'll be paid or free.
But as far as marketing goes for Witcher4, this is a brilliant idea... to make a DLC for the previous game in a series you're making a sequel for and for it to be a prequel of sorts for the new sequel.
Witcher3 has sold 60 million copies, and that's 60 million potential buyers for Witcher4.
It can mend the narratives of each of the main-story endings to explain how...
*Ciri went from being believed to be dead... to being a Witcher.
*Ciri went from being the empress of her father's kingdom... to being a Witcher.
*Ciri went from being a Witcher... to being a Witcher.
Many buyers of Witcher3 never beat the game (hell, 30% of players in PS4 didn't even get past White Orchard), so the DLC will be have an option in the main menu to skip directly to it, just like Witcher3's expansions.
Will we be playing as Geralt... Or Ciri?
Will it have a lot of gameplay, or will it mostly be story-focused?
I'm very much interested in learning more.
They need to fix performance of the 'next gen' upgrade on PC, if they just add a couple of quests but don't touch the game's performance again that will be disappointing. The game looks good but not good enough for how terribly it runs.
