Official War Room Awards 2017

waiting for someone to say " would " to one of these ....
Pinyin might not have typed it but he was probably thinking it when I linked him to the car pussy gif.

so says the fukstick googling fleshlights. what creeper you are. stay the fuck away from my kids.

says the guy who googled a pic of an old dude crossdressed while sticking his dick into an exhaust pipe of a car, & posted it on here

or did you already have that pic saved in your guilty fap folder?

But perhaps my favorite shitshow post of the year is this late entry, by @Giblert, where he implies that different pictures showing absolutely identical and specific vehicle damage, are in fact pictures of two different cars:

It doesn't bother me if you don't see any differences in any of the still pictures or videos of the car's damage from that day. Not sure why you need to glorify a disagreement you have with a post. Is this an insecure "he's crazy like I said, right guys?" attempt to make sure you're correct in that assessment?

Let me say too, there might be a fine explanation for how the difference I see occurred, and I'd like to find that out if I can, and would have no problem dropping the issue immediately. However to the best of my recollection the car didn't take any further damage between these two screenshots of the videos, so naturally it makes me curious.

Regarding the similarities of the damage in both pics, I'll grant you it's a lot of evidence it's just one car. However, the uniformity of cars off the production line and the uniformity with which intentional, identical damage can be imparted to multiple cars used as doubles/triples/etc in movies lessens the unbelievability factor for me.

Please don't misunderstand my intent here; I hope the difference I'm seeing are not due to there being more than one car, because that would likely mean some sort of conspiracy/false flag took place, and no one should be wanting that to be the case.

I think he's just thinking, "look at this really weird post." You posted two pictures of the same car and asked which one hit the victim. I wasn't reading that thread, but when I did check it out, I was left scratching my head too. Even if you want to defend the killer because you consider him to be on your side, that's a really weird angle to take given that there's a video of the incident.

Are you just trolling or what? You're also pushing the Seth Rich CT, right? So having a video of someone who you agree with killing someone isn't enough evidence that he's a murderer (??? Still not sure how the two-car theory fits the defense) but people you don't agree with should be presumed to be murderers if someone loosely connected to them gets shot in a mugging.

I don't know what that guy's motivation is for trying to create a conspiracy out of something we all actually witnessed. It may be that he sees the neo-nazi as an ally of some sort, or it may just be that he seeks conspiracies in everything. Kind of like that thread about how the Vegas shooting must be a conspiracy because the pictures of the security guard getting his award were photoshopped into an old picture of a recently renovated restaurant (spoiler: it was actually just a private room in the restaurant that was not renovated, not a mass conspiracy).

The need to believe in conspiracy is interesting, and a bit annoying to me. I think some people just really want to believe they are in on something that the average person is not in on. I think it gives them a sense of importance or superiority in a way. Again, not saying that is what is up with this guy.

Fair point. @Giblert, want to weigh in?

Nobody fabricated an exact replica of a heavily damaged car in order to make an event caught on video seem ambiguous for no apparent reason. If this is the weed talking, you gotta cut back, man. If it's not the weed talking, you're letting really shitty people influence you in a way that is really hurting you.

To me they're just fun sometimes. Who doesn't like a good mystery? And like a movie or book, entertaining stories that aren't likely to be true have no bearing on the rest of my life. It's not like I'm out anything for not repudiating those far more imaginative.

I enjoy reading conspiracy theories too. I think there's a big difference between reading and exploring conspiracy theories, and being that guy who actually buys into them 100% and ignores all evidence to the contrary.

For sure. Not gonna argue with those people. CT's are like religion in that people are gonna believe what they want so I learned long ago their's not much point.

I haven't taken it, but a professor of mine teaches a course on the history of conspiracy theory. Turns out there is a whole traceable history, enough to make a reasonably clear path from start to now. I'm waiting for it to be offered again.

Have you read The Illuminatus! Trilogy?

They can definitely be interesting. I loved Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49" and Calvino's "if on a winters night a traveler." But real-life CTers can be major dicks, not just smearing decent people or victims of horrible crimes online but causing them pain in person.

Never occurred to me there would be such a thing. Sounds like a fun class. I figure CT's have to trace back to at least Jesus. Gotta have been more than one person not buying that resurrection story.

Nope, never heard of it actually. Is it good?

Yeah, oftentimes conspiracy theorists turn whatever insecurities they have into real animosity towards people who are already suffering. Sandy Hook was a good example of that. Even the Pizza Gate conspiracy theory victimized people. I think these people are so self-centered that they do not realize how badly they can hurt people.

It's satirical Conspiracy Fiction/Science Fiction. It especially captures the counter-culture, fringe politics and conspiracy mindset of the 60s-70s, which is almost mainstream today (although there was a more "New Age" bent to it back then).
It uses Tomithy Leary's "Reality Tunnels" idea to present a pluralism of "realities" in individual perception, with conspiracy theories obviously being sharply at odds with the "reality tunnel" of the majority.

If you like satirical Scifi and conspiracy theories, I think you'd like it.
This should give you an idea of what it reads like.
