Multiplat Official Remnant II Discussion

You stick with Handler? I’ve not played that class but consensus seems to be it being the smartest all-around pick. There are a lot of hidden classes so I hope I figure out how to unearth one or two. I like that sharp violin strike too when a stronger mob boss manifests. *click, click

Do you prefer to discover the classes? I have all of them, and most of them are pretty simple to get so you're not locked into the starting few until you find them yourself.

And one that you won't find yourself without some stroke of ridiculously dumb luck.

Yea, I wanted to have a pup with me on my journey so I said why not and went with it. I had no idea there are hidden classes which makes this game even better. Will there be DLC?

I think there are a couple of planned DLC packs for the first year. Idk if it'll go further than that or if there is already another game in the works. I hope the DLC answers questions I have (but won't ask and spoil the game).

I'm getting absolutely demolished/destroyed on the Spectrum Nexus boss on Nightmare. This run has been completely solo rocking Engineer/Archon Archtype with Heavy Armor, unlimited dodge/roll, Bleeding Amulet for the Merciless Long Gun, with Twisted Wounds Mutator which adds to the Bleeding effect. This boss one shots you randomly! his laser shit and platforms are so fucking chaotic lol.

Never been so calm about dying 20-30 times though even though it's frustrating. It's like the fucking boss fight is so intense you just keep trying and trying until it finally happens. like extra focus gears kick in if you're in the zone.

That guy for me was rough on even survivor, NGL. Ammo drops are spartan in that battle too. He has that late-phase spitting shock volley that will put you down fast if you’re not near cover of the shifting floor pylons. Plus ledging yourself out of arena sucks.

How far are you in right now !?!

Only one world past N’Erud actually.
sweeet. Enjoy the areas! you ever upgrade that Cube Gun or Enigma?

It's hard not to spoil any goodies secrets, we'll discuss more when you finish!

Your best bet is probably something like the Huntmaster so you're only using a single round at a time but still doing heavy damage. If you're dying too easily, focus more on damage reduction. The longer you're alive, the more you can chip away.

Yeah, I want to discover them; appreciate your reservation there. The cryptic one that I likely won’t discover might be something I’m interested in getting a hint on, though. I like my Medic-Challenger plus Bleed mixup right now so not looking to overhaul char ATM.

should i switch back to Hunter? that's what i started with. Engineer doesn't seem to good for me because I don't even pick up the Heavy Weapons. I'm thinking of doing good old Hunter/ Medic or Hunter/ Gunslinger.

haha nice ya it's better to just go for a whatever you find type run first time then when you re-roll you can get a few hints for goodies.

Mos def. Hard not to get the skinny from you too because guys I join for coop adventure + mats are always kitted to the nines and looking dapper. My char looks like a damn hobo.

I freaking love the Co-Op so much. it's what is keeping me playing after 50 hours in. It definitely can get laggy with 3 players I like 2 personally. Had this Apocalypse pro like @BEER show up in my games because i forget to set to private. Ended up adding him as a friend. Been a while since i've done that. I usually let them add me haha.

I use the Slayer mutator for my crossbow (crafted at Ward from Dwell) for timed DMG buff on reload. It’s been murderous on single-fire WPNs for me.

Same. I learn a lot too because you can observe and then there being a bit pressure to up your game and turn in a good performance. Don’t want to be that guy always needing rez at crystal. Feels good to carry when you can; that’s why I love Medic and having everyone’s back with lvl 10 Redemption HP shockwave.

Is there an item that removes this? I got it in the first world and died because of it

If you roll Yaesha and start in the Forbidden Grove (I think), there is a dude named Badel that is stuck to a tree by growth of rot on him. If you talk to him enough he eventually sells stuff. One of the items he sells is a ring called Rotward that prevents rot build up.

Wait, Yaesha isn't the first world by default? I'm gonna reroll if that's the case. Area isnt fun thus far lol

Yeah, campaign can go in any order for the most part. The Labyrinth is always the second zone, and the final area is always the same. I started in Losmon, and it easily my favorite area. Glad I started there.

That’s the least fun world, IMO, and a revisiting of the original game. The rest are bangers. You’ll love Losmon like Dink said. Max called it Yharnam for a reason and its Beatific Palace is an all-time standout for me – think haunting opulence.

Bleh roll to embark from there (Yaesha) but push through so as not to redo it. Root Rot sucks. That merchant Dink mentions is new to me and I’d explored everywhere. Game’s crazy like that; now l want to find him.
