Not having a hip fire or having my aim sorta cancelled is one of my few gripes with the game.

I'll be shooting and get hit with something and midshot I start swinging my melee around.

That mid-skirmish melee whiff is so me in this, lol.

Maxed out my Twisted Wounds Mutator packed on my Merciless long gun, and this thing shreds. Don't really notice on trash mobs, but on elites it just melts them. Bleed damage increase, a long with increased damage to enemies with bleed status, you can just stack up so much damage. Usually will start an encounter with the Enigma and hit them with a few electro darts for more damage stack and then burn them down with the Merciless.

Trying to do some tests with different neck slots, but it's hard because the shooting range doesn't apply bleed to the targets, so it has to be in the field. Trash mobs go down to quick to make a good gage so it has to be elites. Bouncing between the Energized Neck Coil to still keep my Enigma boosted, but the Ravagers Mark is tempting too for even more bleed.

Only testing on Veteran, so will probably push an Apocalypse adventure map, to see what really stands out.

this game just keeps on giving! I ended up almost getting the Archon archtype by myself but it was insane to get to the secret Backrooms of the Labyrinth! had to miraculously wait until someone joined my game to know how to grab the STRANGE BOX. Anyways the beauty of this game is you get keep all the loot,gear,armor anyone finds in your world or their world lol.

This Archon Type is epic, and now I know what the special skill everyone running is with the flying electric guy.

I ended up almost getting the Archon archtype by myself but it was insane to get to the secret Backrooms of the Labyrinth! had to miraculously wait until someone joined my game to know how to grab the STRANGE BOX. Haha ya man avy is temporary.
I got lucky with the archetypes because somehow these pros I played co-op with gathered all the goodies you need to get Archon. Like I said earlier the hardest part is getting some strange box in the labyrinth. I don’t even know how some of these guys find these secrets lol. I’m always getting new rings, amulets.
Was playing with this one guy who found a secret chamber in the widows court that gave us Fords shotgun or something epic haha.

I may reset my traits to get rid of teammate perks and put them towards my summoners health.

Solo bro checking in. Adds in general not as oppressive as From the Ashes, IMO. Controversial opinion but R2 right now might be my GOTY. This is the sequel we didn't deserve. I'm still running a weakspot-centric build with the (a) I'd upgraded and modded after figuring out a Yaesha gardens puzzle; want to start crafting the wilier boss WPNs from Ava though as I'm just stubbornly sitting on mats.

Will be interested to hear your thoughts. It’s that good. By even the first Miyazakian palace and town post-tutorial, you’ll be blown away. I was taking crazy screenshots for the memories. Haven’t yet beat it myself; still journeying and screenshooting. Secrets for days.

Go with the Enigma, found in the Labyrinth. Limited base range, but you can boost it in various ways. Shoots an electric beam that arcs to targets in range. It brings my heart joy when a wave of enemies come and cluster together and I just roast them. Awesome for bosses that have lots of adds or multiple targets that need to be removed.

Cube Gun is a good secondary though.

Veteran too much for me personally and I’m a Miyazakian crustlord who loves to suffer. Mad respect for your tackling harder difficulties in this. The difficulty spike for mini-bosses in this from world to world is very real and definitely gear-checks you.

Try skipping tutorial after creating primary char by creating secondary char at game login. Should boot you into hub for immediate journey embark.

It’s funny because I suck ass at bloodborne type games because I can never get parry slash down.

but this game has the epic options of shooting , rolling ,dodging constantly with a few melee slashes in between. I also love seeing my character third person style and being able to analyze my environment vision.
Also of course because you get to keep your gear when you die.
It’s crazy how important the right class , setup , traits is if you want to tackle Nightmare or Apocalypse. I really want that Apocalypse sword also. Getting 1 shot killed from even little minions is too much though.

Agreed. And I actually can’t stress enough how important melee is in this. Get your maces, katanas, staves, what have you to Rigs for regular optimisation. Dodge feels really good too and so does third-person WPN-enemy collision.

Found a Ring that lets you fully dodge /evade/roll regardless of encumbrance weight . So I’m rocking the Leto heavy armor! It’s really a matter of looks now mostly . They did take away upgrading your armor which some don’t like.
They also got rid of voice chat in co-op! You have to hit the ping button to communicate lol. Liability issues for a small developer not sure.

I love how they take all the feedback from the community and do constant updates changes.
Looking forward to a survivor mode once I get burned out after 100 hours
