I never even considered back paddles until I played Doom Eternal. There are so many inputs in that game, it would have been nice to have an extra couple buttons to make different weapon swaps easier.

Edge seems to be the only controller with those two under the sticks.

Two resolutions exist to streamline games that require high input amounts. First is create an easy to use keystroke modifier. This opens up all other inputs to have dual purpose. Other is buying flight sim pedals for the same purpose or targeted input use.

Yeah, every game except for ones that I can’t break muscle memory for (to relearn) so just stick to traditional DS for those games. I also never use Edge for Session (skater sim; my chill game), but that’s just personal preference.

Going the other way, I can’t play some games anymore with the trad DS because of how dynamic and comfortable the Edge is. Your reaction speeds will increase, full stop, because more fingers are in play.

It’s such a rad peripheral, bud. Comes with a proper long cable too to play wired.
Sounds rad, might have to seriously consider. I love the black color scheme.

My only worry with it was that I’d only want to use the Edge but you’re right, there are plenty of games I’d still use my Dual Senses for.

It’s cool to switch up controllers, TBH. It’s a headspace shift, if you know what I mean. With DS, I’m journeying. When Edge comes out, time to F.

I play on the couch with my feet up usually so pedals are out but creating secondary action sets where you can have two inputs on one button activated by holding another button (similar to a weapon wheel) is a possibility.

I just need to learn to use Steam Input properly. That software is amazing and has made it possible to play old games on controller which were previously unplayable.

I've reinstalled and again picked up Returnal but slow she goes it. This teleporter freaker in biome 2 Fs me up so bad, ending most runs; losing everything absolutely sucks. SAROS sounds more up my alley resource-wise:

A key gameplay distinction between SAROS and Returnal is permanent resources and progression making every death valuable. #HMQ30 #SAROS

Sounds like every death is more of a participation trophy!

Some other news came out regarding Saros. The budget will be 76 million dollars and that makes it the highest budget game they've ever made. I think that's a very healthy budget. Games can't keep costing 200 + million dollars. That means Returnal was probably less than 60 million maybe even less than 50. Impressive stuff and that means it will be easier for them to turn profit. I hope people support this game. Probably my most anticipated game at the moment. Can't wait for the gameplay reveal. Hopefully they show something off in May or June which is when they typically have a bigger showcase.

If you want to team up and play returnal I can guide you. Let me know homey.

1000% Day 1 for me.

Was thumbing through preorder carousel in PS Store and holy crap, so many bangers coming our way.

The deluxe editions, though, are always shown by default where standard you have to drill down and manually select to wishlist or order. That’s some bull. Deluxe should always be treated as an upgrade from standard, IMO – and not standard as a downgrade from deluxe.

The Hell Is Us tagline is also so sick, reading: No map. No quest markers. No compass. Follow your instincts.

I have the platinum and the 100% completion from the DLC too. I actually play Nex Machina more because each session is a lot shorter.

Hell is Us looks great. I posted once or twice about it on here. I like the idea of having to actually listen to NPCs and there being a lot of mystery. Reminds me of stuff like Myst when I was younger. The thing is it releases a week away from Metal Gear but I'm leaning towards Hell is Us because it's actually something new.

There's a few posters here who enjoy Souslike games and smaller indies like Blasphemous. I saw this trailer on PlayStation YouTube channel and thought it looked like it might me something you guys would want to try out. Release date is close too. April 17, only about 3 and a half weeks away.
