I feel like I live under a rock sometimes. I do not know who Rahul Kohli is. Never heard of him until this Saros game.
Not really much reason to. He’s been in some of my favorite shows (Midnight Mass, The Fall of the House of Usher) but never been a leading man. He has been doing VO work for a lot of games recently and is a pretty big gamer himself so he’s developed a bit of a following in this community.

Can you guys share below your favorite game's trailer from the presentation? I didn't get to watch and it would help me out. I saw Tides of Annihilation and Onimusha mentioned more than once ITT. Good candidates, I reckon.

Thank you so much. Excited to see.
Saros takes number one spot for obvious reasons but I got to show some love to this game since it seems to be flying under the radar. It’s like someone wanted to do little nightmares but with a silly twist.

Ah, I see. I’ve heard good things about both shows but haven’t watched them as my wife doesn’t really like scary shows. We only made it through two or three episodes of the Haunting of the Haunted House on Haunted Hill (or whatever it’s called) before she tapped out.

I'm really curious if Housemarque will go the Remedy route and create a shared universe between Returnal and Saros. I want more of Selene's story, I feel bad leaving her on Atropos to repeat her days dodging bullets.

Housemarque! Can’t wait for the gameplay reveal. It’s Returnal 2 in everything but name. Was that Hindu mythology?

Haven't even seen the trailer but it's an instant reserve for me.
Housemarque has earned that from me thanks to 800 hrs of Returnal gameplay.
I could probably teach a graduate level course on how to play Returnal I think. lol.

Haunting of Hill House is great, would recommend watching if you can. It’s my favorite work from Mike Flanagan. The horror element is there but it’s not really what the show is about.

Dang, so what's this saucy minx? Saros? In like Flynn. Gamerverse already attaching GOTY contender to it. Personal confession: I still haven't beat Returnal. Wimp sheet.

✅ new Sony first-party title from Housemarque
✅ coming 2026 to PS5 and PS5 Pro
✅ play as Arjun Devraj (performed by Rahul Kohli), a powerful Soltari Enforcer
✅ resources and progression are permanent
✅ “come back stronger” is the theme

✅ single-player

With resources and progression being permanent, sounds like they’re trying to soften the difficulty from Returnal and make this more accessible.

Going to my trophy data only 12% of players killed the last boss and only 4.8% got the true being which is beating act 3. There’s no way they haven’t noticed these numbers. These guys always made challenging games though so I still have faith they’ll find a way. With more progression saving with each death it gives them the opportunity to balance the late game to have powerful enemies

Good I loved Returnal but it was to brutal and it wasn't adding to the game for me only hurting it. The gameplay is what kept me coming back.

Returnal dropped a month after my first born. No way I’d find the time to get through it now without some vacation. At that time, he was sleeping. Now I’ve got two kids with the last one on the way. Been putting in work!

Is Phantom Blade still everyone’s most anticipated samurai / ninja game?

Not for me anymore. That's only because I have yet to fully trust Chinese devs. I was very excited for Black Myth but I played the trial on PlayStation and didn't like it at all. Invisible walls everywhere, hits lacked impact, and I don't like mute characters. Here's a list of samurai/ninja games I'm excited for in order.

1. Ninja Gaiden 4
2. Ghost of Yotei
3. Onimusha: Way of the Sword
4. Phantom Blade
5. Ninja Gaiden Ragebound
6. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (announced yesterday)

Looked pretty cool, I like the developers. Surprisingly for being a Sega kid I never really got into the series.
Imo the best two are Shinobi 3 for the Sega Genesis and Shinobi for PlayStation 2. They're surprisingly quite different from each other. Shinobi 3 is usually included in most of those Sega Genesis Collection packs since it is a popular game. However, sadly Shinobi on PS2 is a bit harder to get your hands on. As far as I know the only way to play it is by getting a copy on a PS2 or finding an emulator.

Shinobi 3

Shinobi PS2

I felt the same way when I started Wu-Kong but the game grew on me so much I completely fell in love with it and gave it my GOTY. By the end, I thought it was incredible. Although the last level felt pretty rushed.

Everything I’ve seen from PB0 looks to be right up my alley, but Ninja Gaiden 4 and Yotei are my 2 & 3 respectively. Team Ninja will always get my money.

Ghost, Gaiden, and Onimusha for me.

At this point I'm 100% convinced they aren't allowed to touch Bloodborne because of Miyazaki. I know at one point he said it was his favorite game not sure if that's the case still. They have to be waiting on him to come back and do the remaster himself.

Which is funny because I remember an interview where Miyazaki explicitly said he's waiting on Sony and is interested. Lol. I honestly think it's in-between the two, where Bb = Miyazaki's pride and joy albeit equally something that need be timed right for Sony, e.g., PS6 launch, Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays, and not just a summer title what have you.
