Seems so, people online were acting like this showcase showed there is no reason for the Pro.
 
It's got to be depressing sometimes to be a game developer. Imagine working on a game for years, pouring thousands of hours into creating something special and when it's finally revealed it gets labeled as DEI wokefest simply for having a female protagonist. Just wanted to say I'm glad we are getting a new setting and cast of characters. It's going to keep things fresh and this means that this can be a franchise with many entries potentially. I love Jin but his story was told and if they think this is the better direction then I'm willing to put my trust in them since they haven't let me down yet.

I wouldn’t have been mad about continuing Jins story but this looks great as well. Could care less what they do honestly just put me in that world and give me a good story.

Feel the same about tlou. I just want more of that gameplay/world.

Also glad we are getting dead space but not sure I’ll be able to play it. Going to try though.

GOT is incredible. I don't know what happens at the end as I haven't finish it yet, but if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt it's these guys. I'd rather be able to create our own character/gender, but I imagine they have specific narrative around the protagonist.

This isn't Ubishit forcing a black bisexual linebacker into Japanese Samurai culture.


I only played the first Island on PS4 and was waiting until I got my hands on a PS5 to finish it enhanced. I have it on PC now though and it looks glorious in ultrawide. I'm going to binge Shogun soon, and will play this as a companion.

I can't wait to see what they do with their engine in the next one!

Not complaining about it. Nothing to do with politics but also I'm not gonna apologise for it. I just can't get into playing as female characters. Always been this way. So for me it's not the best news.😪

Returnal, Control, Last of Us, Plagues Tale, the new Zelda game etc. So many good games out there with female protagonists. I swear, gamers are some of the thinnest skinned individuals alive. Right now, on Warhammer twitter, there's a ridiculous conversation on whether minorities should be in the game. People with the brain capacity of a squid sitting there counting anyone who isn't white just to complain to their even dumber audience. It's honestly pathetic.

Side note but wanted to point out that while not on a level of octopodes, squids are largely intelligent. Now, if you'd called them flamingos or lemmings... :P

I really enjoyed state of play. Felt like it flowed better, probably because they didn't talk about the games, and just showed them.

Only game that looked bad was the hitman game. Holy shit did that look awful.
 
When the hell do the preorders for the Pro start. I can stay up late tonight but I need to know some sort of time. Not just going to check every hour at midnight.

Preview seem very positive. Really hoping some big titles like monster hunter wilds get some performance boost. Will be completely worth the price for the time I’ll sink into that. Plus I’m looking forward to finishing up rebirth. The performance mode really hurt my enjoyment of that game. Oh and Alan wake dlc too. Dang actually quite a bit to look forward to
