You looking forward to Behemoth? Looks like a fun time. Still no release date but expected to be fall sometime. I want to pick up Madison too at some point. Looks really scary
Yeah, absolutely. I haven’t given my VR much attention in a bit but I’d love to get back into it with some of these.

PS5 has now reached 61.7m units shipped as of June 30th , 2.4m units shipped in Q1 of the current Sony Financial Year

Glad to hear this. Two studios I'd call victims of their own success are Naughty Dog and Santa Monica. Branch out, the time has come...

God of War developer Santa Monica Studio is working on a new intellectual property, according to an employee at the Sony studio.

One thing I always appreciate about Sony is letting the studios move on eventually and not just constantly releasing a sequel nonstop until the series is just burned out.

Gamespot dropped an excellent hands-on review for the new Space Marine game that got my hopes up again.

Gamespot WH40k Hands-On

Also, my boy Luetin has had a chance to play a bit. He also just dropped an excellent lore video on the Librarians.

There’s been a lack of footage on the PS5. Same with Black Myth Wukong. In fact I don’t think the latter has a single second of PS5 gameplay yet. I do wonder if it would be worth waiting for performance videos or maybe even PS5 Pro

Rise of Ronin free demo is available from the game’s official store page for anyone who missed the alert a couple days ago. This was new for me at the very least. Downloading.

Also saw a demo for DD2 recently. Hope we start to see this trend more and more.

To be honest, I don’t understand every single title not putting out a quick test-drive of their game. Give us even 15m to move around, platform a minute, or face off against one enemy. I don’t need much than that if we’re talking minimums. I know a lot of money goes into data about this so I guess demos reduce full-game buys ultimately.

I don't know how true it is because I can't remember the source anymore but I remember at one point hearing that they realized demos were actually hurting sales. Which I guess can make sense as there's been a few games that I purchased and regret but had no real way to try them.

With that said there's been games that took a bit to grow on me and I only gave it that chance because I don't want to throw $60 down the drain. If it was just a demo I could try I doubt I would have proceeded with a full purchase and possibly missed out on a good game. Days Gone comes to mind even if I only spent $20 on it by the time I got it.

That’s a great point and true for me too. Some games are slow to click with you and these being to demo detriment. Steelrising was like this for me. Played the trial; didn’t like it. Moved on. Eventually got free from Plus and ended up playing the entire game.

I’ll check it out. Got a little burnt out on the Team Ninja formula.

Ha, yea that would suck to get hit with a double whammy. I'm a glass half full kind of guy, so I'm positive about it. It could get real ugly if both teams release their games on PS5 with sub-par performance.

That said, the new and final Wukong trailer just dropped and it looks almost too good to be true. From all the different cameos, it was me wondering if this is more of a boss rush game.

Big fan of Barlog. Cant wait to see what he cooks up. I really need to pitch him my Time Cop game.

During the first round of previews I heard someone else mention the same thing. Could be good or bad but I'm not a huge fan of boss rush games. The latest AC was pretty much just a boss rush game though and I loved it.

It's definitely a genre that has gamers in a love & hate relationship. I see mixed feelings all the time. Personally, I don't mind them as long as I know what I'm getting into. Even within the genre, there are different flavors. For instance, Elden Souls and Furi are two completely different types of games but both boss rush. I guess Monster Hunter could be considered somewhat of a Boss Rush as well.

As long as the mechanics are unique and the combat tight, I'm in.
