Summer Sale is live. I’m seeing Tekken 8 at almost 50% off for 40€-ish (sick), amongst other titles.

Fun fact, Liam McIntyre who took over the Spartacus role is going to be Wolverine in the Insomniac game.

Nice. It was kind of jarring the first time around when they switched but not such a big issue the time around. Good to see the actor still out there doing cool shit.

Been playing Concord beta.

Honestly, everything Sony does is just wildly high quality; something I think even PlayStation detractors have to concede. Visceral VA. Awesome graphics and coloring with artful prematch cinematics and good soundscape. TST.

Certainly had some fun moments. Mainly played a char called Duchess (Mortal Kombat vibes) with reload upon evasion for passive and cool skills like a room-sized mana orb.

My two negatives they need fix if I’m ever buying this are faster movement (it feels overweighted right now = not fun), and meatier hit markers.

Very real potential here. Loading is lightning-fast, which is a breath of fresh air compared to XDefiant playing like a connection and loading screen simulator.

Dude this game is so clean, the UI and presentation is so slick. Also really impressed with how polished this is. I’m having fun with Jabali. He looks cool and I’ve always enjoyed playing support. Might drop 40 on this and play it casually. Hope the game finds players. Looking at Twitter and while I see many people praising it I see more negativity from those that won’t even try it. Also seeing people call it doa for charging money. Personally I’d rather pay money up front and not being drowning in ads to spend money like first descendent. I deleted that shit because it was so in your face and overpriced.

Strongly agree. Been playing a new guy called Kypsi – definitely my fave; has this nasty pistol for primary. *rat-tat-tat

Yeah, this is the Sony model and what Strauss Zelnick, Ryan et al. were saying that if you want bar-raising games, it’s pay to play. This game is already polished to a point that other games expect over Y1 in post-launch patches. It’s the Sony signature experience.

The whole subscription and F2P stuff has me exhausted sometimes so it’s nice to go back to the way it was when we were kids: You buy a big game – you’re invested, and can’t wait even to see the start screen and begin the journey, knowing it will be your sole focus for a bit. No bouncing about, testing out 7 games to see which one sucks less, then getting a tooltip that new items are in the shop.

PvE is allegedly planned for Concord, which more justifies the 40€ price tag in addition to the already impressive game quality + netcode, IMO.

Sauce here.

Really don't want to see more of AstroBot at this point. We all know it is going to be amazing and I think I want to go into it seeing as few worlds as possible.

I wonder if that anime soulslike game will get a release date, AI LIMIT has a 2024 release window.

That's awesome, reminds me of Overwatch early on when they had some PvE modes every now and then. Hopefully it doesn't go away though and is a permanent addition.

New Tom Henderson Article on PS5 Pro, kind of bit of a nothing article

But i though this was interesting, think it hasn't been mentioned before
Developers can submit their applications supporting the PlayStation 5 Pro to CertOps (Platform Certification & Operations) on July 30th, a date understood to have been finalized as far back as 18 months ago. In addition, all applications for the PlayStation 5 on games that will be released after September 15th will be required to support the PlayStation 5 Pro (this does not mean the PS5 Pro will release on September 16). So, although not an exact release date, the information, which was released by PlayStation earlier this week to developers, suggests that the PlayStation 5 Pro is still on track to be released later this year.

For those who haven’t played Remnant II, I emplore you to download and give it a shot. Such a fun game with excellent cosmic horror vibes. Absolutely worth your time.

I loved playing the first two No More Hero’s on WII. So I’m STOKED to get to play the follow up on my PS. Both games are fun as hell and I loved the story.

Can it be played single player? I use games to get away from people lol

Nice, I’ve played like 100 more hours of Elden Ring over the past month. I need something new.
Wow impressive. How you putting in those numbers with the little one? You sacrificing a lot of sleep? That's the only way I'm able to play. I play from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM usually but if I go to bed early I wake up at 5 am and play for an hour before work.

Apparently the source code for No Man's Sky was leaked and it lists "Trinity" as a project which is most likely the codename of the PS5 Pro. If so this might be our first confirmation of a game that's going to have an upgraded version. That's a good sign that third party games will see updates. Another interesting thing is it being a PSVR2 title as well means that VR owners will probably benefit from picking up the Pro.
