Saved up 45 dollars on PlayStation Stars. Debating whether to get Hell Divers II or Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Both look good but I’m more of a single player guy so leaning towards the latter. What you guys think?
Congrats on the Star redemption. Felt good when I’d redeemed mine recently too.

On games, Persia looks like Fenyx flip and you don’t play as the prince apparently – all too Ubi. I’d say wait for the typical Ubi sale barely 30 days post-launch and reserve a Helldivers II copy in support of Arrowhead Studios.

Just me. Only you can do you. Let us know which way you walk.

I'd go helldivers but Prince of Persia doesn't look all that great to me.

Normally I’d agree but it’s being done by a team that has a good track record and some YouTubers who have the same taste as me in games have said it’s really great in the early access they got. I suspect it will be one of the better Ubisoft games. I may just wait for a review instead of preordering. Hell divers 2 we still not so little of it feels like, hope they show a bit more of progression and things

Sucks that everything is so close together. I’d buy both but on average I have 30 to 40 hours a month to play so I’m not going to make the same mistake I made last year of buying too much. Already know I’m going to have to wait on rise of the ronin until end of April early May because rebirth is looking huge

Yea I'm trying to time everything out now so that I have some breathing room before Rebirth. I don't want to be stuck in the middle of a game when it comes out.

It has been forever since I bought a new system, Xbox 360, I guess I got a switch too, just for Zelda. But today I ordered PS5, the Spider-Man bundle

Prince of Persia looks great to me. But I don't play shooters, so who knows.

Sounds like you’ve done your homework. Without a hands-on that’s all you can do, really. Persia it is.

Nice. Enjoy!

Guys Dead Space remix has been epic and same with Resident Evil 4.
My backlog is Elden Ring! Remnant 2 dlc was fun as hell. Also need to play gow Valhalla

Appreciate the take. I always watch what you say about MVs because of your experience with them. Was surprised to see you luke-warm on Moonscars, however – a game I thought was pretty great and played at launch even after preorder.
Thanks Val, appreciate it buddy.

Moonscars was okay, and I did appreciate the Rogue-lite elements. It wasn't a bad debut for the company. However, both TLF and MS didn't really offer anything that other games provide and do better.

I should point out that both of those games seem to be 50/50 on r/Metroidvania. Good discussions over there.

Since your AN post I decided to pick it back up and have been backtracking quite a bit. They also added a new area with some solid platforming. Not nearly as hard as base game. One thing I did notice is that when you get an ability in AN, the future bosses require that you use them. Something TLF or MS didn’t really offer.

I’ve got a ticket for the Prince of Persia hypetrain. The company that’s making it also made Rayman Legends and it’s expected to be around 25hrs long. For reference, I believe HK clocked in at 27. Long games don’t necessarily mean good games but if it’s a great MV, the length tends to lead to a larger map which leads to more exploration.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Info:

-In development for almost 5 years
-A 25-hour game
-4K with 120fps on #PS5
-Was not 2D from the start
-Callback to the fear and isolation
-Metroid Dread inspiration
-Some aspect of fighting games
-Counter play an essential role
-Rayman Origins & Legends developers
-Bombastic opening
-Big narrative surprises
-Farsi language option
-Difficulty options
-Guided and exploration modes
-Mark the map with a photo
-Demo January 11
-Review embargo January 11

She got skills; wasn't sure where she was going with it at first and thought – wrecked:

Very cool and really appreciate new approaches. I've read this feature is locked behind Ubisoft Connect registration, however, so not sure how that all works. Is Lost Crown a de facto side-scroller or does it do dynamic camera rotation like NieR?

That would be so weird to have a mechanic behind a sign-in wall but I wouldn’t be surprised. I picked up Super Mega Baseball and to play online you have to create an EA acct. My EA acct has been inactive for so long that I still haven’t gotten it to work yet. It’s been a total pain in the ass.

Sorry, I forgot to ask. What did you end up buying with your points?

Appreciate the ask. RoboCop: Rogue City! At the final boss now.
