I feel like I’m the only one within that demographic growing up that never got into these movies. I was always more into Godzilla and giant monsters over ghosts. I hope it’s awesome for the fans though, they deserve some joy after that all female led reboot

I semi enjoyed the movies but never really loved it the way other people in my age group did.

Also SIE have "Delayed" 6 of the planed Live Service games they were planning to release by March 2025

https://www.videogameschronicle.com...ed-half-of-its-12-planned-live-service-games/

"We are reviewing this… we are trying as much as possible to ensure [these games] are enjoyed and liked by gamers for a long time," he said. "[Of] the 12 titles, six titles will be released by FY25 – that's our current plan. [As for] the remaining six titles, we are still working on that.

"That's the total number of live service and multiplayers titles [and] mid-to-long-term we want to [push] this kind of service and that's the unchanged policy of the company. It's not like we stick to certain titles, but game quality should be the most important [thing]."

Following recent news of Sony reaching 90% market share in France, Sony now takes hold of UK market with 51% share:

(...)

By comparison, Nintendo has just 25 per cent market share, while Microsoft has dipped as low as 23 per cent. In the House of Mario’s case, the Switch is in its twilight years, so a decline is anticipated at this point in its lifecycle.

The real worry for PlayStation’s rivals is that it looks like the Japanese giant is going to be even more aggressive in the run up to Christmas, with the release of its revised PS5 model and key titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We could see its market share growing even further throughout the holidays, and with Sony forecasting 25 million console sales this fiscal year, it could potentially blow its competition away if it hits its targets.

Will post impressions when I get it.

My CC was charged 211.99. Looks like my Portal is about to be shipped! Can't wait for it, this thing was made for a busy parent. Glad Sony decided to do something like this.

Oh and this thing is pretty big. Here's a comparison with the Switch.

Here's how it looks compared to the Backbone which I've been using for about a year now. Obviously a huge upgrade.

Finally this is a decent video if you want to see an unboxing

So it looks like you can assign a single disc drive to multiple consoles with the new variant / models

Picked up TLOU Part 1 from the sale. I've been wanting to replay TLOU since the remake was rumored so I waited for the game. Didn't feel like paying $70 for it though. $40 isn't to bad. Might pickup Sifu as well at $15 seems like a good deal.

The Portal can be summed up pretty easily imo. If you have a strong wifi connection, it’s an incredibly cool device. The screen is gorgeous, frame rates hold, it’s crisp, the Dual Sense feels and acts exactly how it should, it’s responsive, everything you’d want from a streaming device.

If your connection isn’t great, expect to not have a great time. Resolution can change, audio can pop in and out, frame rate can be brought to its knees.

I hope they make some more integrations like the ability to watch video and the like as the screen is great.

Really happy with it though, looking forward to pairing it with the Explorers.

Yeah pretty big upgrade with all the new features. Good on them making it $10.

That's what's up! That's how you make me pay a bit more for a game I've already played too...
