Multiplat Official Next-gen WITCHER 3 Discussion

Playing through this classic again for the first time since 2016. I forgot what a scumbag Whoreson Junior is. Is there a Whoreson Senior?

Is there a Whoreson Senior?

Nope.

I forgot what a scumbag Whoreson Junior is.

I've heard longtime Witcher fans since the books were published say there's basically two decisions Book-Geralt would absolutely never do.

*He's never betray Vernon Roche & Ves for Dikjstra to murder them.
*He'd never let Whoreson Junior live after seeing the dozen of dead whores he murdered.

I love CD Projekt Red but that was a serious wtf moment for me in what is otherwise my favorite game of all time. Season 8 Games of Thrones level bad. I can believe that Dijkstra would plot the death of Roche and Ves but he would never do it in front of Geralt, let alone physically involve himself.

I've played Witcher 3 six times and never made that choice. So its very forgivable because it is a choice at the tail end of a storyline without any serious consequences.

If it was at the beginning of a storyline with much of the game locked out unless you made the choice to kill Roche & Ves, there'd be serious backlash to it.

That said, for such a schemeing mastermind as Dikjstra to not contemplate Geralt would take their side and kill him... that was uncharacteristically stupid of such an intelligent character... very GoT S8 as you referenced.

Also 'that said' CDPR has nailed so much within Witcher 3 as a sequel-adaptation for the book series... much superior than even Witcher 1&2... that such a flaw is very forgivable.

As we celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we’re excited to share some good news for our players and modders!

Later this year, we will release one more patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This update will introduce cross-platform mod support across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S via mod.io.

Creating, sharing, and enjoying mods will be easier and more accessible, as players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to share a modding ecosystem.

Last wish project, a mod adaptation for the first Witcher novel. Dude plans on doing every chapter, which is ambitious.

With the rumours of an official story DLC, and tons of mods already available, and coming to current gen consoles, there's lots of life left for this amazing game.

Absolutely.

Tbf the djikstra quest ending was poorly written

Hes extremely intelligent character, he would never try to kill roches and ves while gerald is near

I still killed them since djikstra is hilarious (and his ending is best for realm)

I'll believe this when CDPR confirms it.

I could see some new content to celebrate an official Switch 2 version, but nothing like a Blood and Wine expansion.

Still hoping for at least one more patch on PC as CPU performance still isn't great.

'Practically confirmed' but still not officially confirmed.

But when there's this much smoke there's got to be some fire.

Not believing the guesses it'll be the size of Blood&Wine though.

Eurogamer & Insider-Gaming are both reporting this, and they're practically the news divisions of major publishers.
These aren't 'leaks' they're press announcements to create anticipation.

I was skeptical at first but now its a certainty.

Only questions are when the official announcement is with a trailer and the release date.

And... Are we playing as Geralt or Ciri?
