Multiplat Official Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Disc

11 hours in the game and I haven't done shit. Just been wondering about and trying not to die.
Game looks beautiful and runs fantastic.
I'm not looking up hints or quest help online like I did for the first one.
Just going to let it wash over me lake a warm shower.

Same. I spend a couple hours and get so little done. Although I did assassinate a bundle of bandits and got pretty decent shit off em.

If you want a horse hint pm me, I stumbled into a ride.

Pretty awesome so far. Haven't been able to put it down. It really has improved on pretty much everything from the first game.

Only issue for me is some jank during combat like hits not registering which can be the difference between life and death.

I'm finding the lack of hand holding to be a refreshing experience.

"Go over to that split birch," no arrow, no line on a map. Just a birch trunk split, over there. I recognised the tree type and went to it.

Btw if you need help finding things which aren't main or side quests, grey shields, you can look at the task in your log and see it on the map, then pop a marker there if need be.

I do enjoy the feeling of being on my own, vulnerable and at times 'lost' in a game like this. It takes me back to the feeling of playing Morrowind again, which is one of my fav games.

This game is much easier than the 1st. Once you pick up decent gear and weapons it's been a breeze. Probably trying out hardcore once it drops

Yes!

It really puts life in the era into context. Unless you have a crew you're pretty fucked. Meeting people on the road is a real conundrum.

I'm loving this game, it's so damn chill, especially with the music.

I find the combat a lot more responsive and you're way more affective earlier on this time. It still suffers against multiple enemies, but I've been able to handle most multi-enemy encounters so far.

Known Early Bug Warning - Makes Companion Recruiting Quest difficult
I have a really funny known bug, which is also annoying. An old lady that helps you at the beginning (Bozhena) keeps running away from me calling me a murderer, even after I buried a couple of bodies for her.

Not really a spoiler, as it happens so early, but the set up of the game has you and Lord Hans get ambushed on a diplomatic mission. Eventually you find your way to a hut with an old lady healer.

You have to kill someone once you wake up and then bury them, with her guidance. Then you go pick some herbs and when you return two more enemies show up.

The thought is that it's supposed to be a tutorial on dialogue/diplomacy but if you fight and kill any of them, the old lady will always run away from you calling you a murderer once you give her the herbs and she does her thing.

You need her to help find your dog later, your only companion I believe. The only way to talk to her without running away is to sneak up behind her and hit the talk button. You get another quest that involves her, which she bolts from. It's hilarious, considering what she asks you to do and what you've already done.

Anyway, here's a link to help too.

Probably the 1st game I've been really interested in checking out in a while.

They really jam packed this game with optional things to find and do. The graphics are gorgeous too, especially the landscapes/forests. Exploring hasn't been this much in a game since I played Oblivion and Skyrim the first time.

I hope more studios use the CryEngine. I've been playing on my Steam Deck as welll and it also runs smoothly there at medium settings. Every UE5 game I've used has some stuttering/performance issues.

Like others in this thread, I've been wandering around mostly picking up side quests galore and getting into skirmishes as I explore everything.

I'm 20 hours in and I think I've only done 2 main quests.

Find the Miller
One place you do want to find, like in the first, is the Miller (south of Semine) You get to boost theiving (stealth too I believe) by practicing lock picking and pickpocketing. Now I'm a formidable cleptomaniac again.

Only one village has seen me enter a private area. Once they discover missing items you'll be the suspect if you were caught in a priva area, so be sure to not have stolen items on you if you rob that place.

Only the Miller will buy stolen items, after you do his first quest. The fence at the nomad camp is supposed to as well, but I haven't tried it. I've been reading that he's bugged.

Anyway, I'm well liked pretty much everywhere now, despite ko'ing numerous sleeping NPC's and ransacking their houses. What a blast.

I'm hearing that this more of an ImSim than the first. Can any of you guys verify this? Have to say that is my favorite genre

I owned the first on release but never finished it. I grabbed the second one and it's been great.

I just cheesed the masterstrike after not being able to get that fight done. Overall really enjoying the game.

It's more ImSim than the first, at least from what I recall, especially in crime/diplomacy. You have more ways to intimidate/lie/be stealthy depending on your appearance.

I just got busted trying to rob a house. The NPC went looking to see if anything was missing. After looking in a chest I had looted, he was going to turn me in, but I was able to scare him into not saying a word, as I was covered in blood after murdering people in another interaction lol.

If you could move objects to create new access points, or have more freedom on main quests, it could almost be a full on ImSim.

There are tons of systems going on that you can manipulate.

So, I just spent an hour (real time) sitting at a tavern table drinking mead in moderation to boost my drinking stat while steaking out a Farkle player who seemed to throw a lot of loaded dice.
At around midnight the tavern closed and they got up to go home and I followed.
Waited an hour in game and crept in their spot and knocked them out in bed, stole the dice, all their money, and put a dice with negative perks in their inventory.
I went back to my bed and slept till mid day, strolled back to the tavern and started a game with them.
The Farkle player did indeed have the debuffed dice I slipped them and could only play low steaks games because they had no cash. LOfuckingL!

That's enough Kcd2 for today.
Jesus Christ be praised.
