Just hope it actually lives up to the hype because 5 was terrible, arcade like driving mechanics, easy and skippable missions, online spammed with nonsense flying bikes, bad sport penalties.

Hopefully they give us GTA IV remastered in this time

Rumor has it the PS6 will drop in 2027 or 2028.

I kind of wish R* would have made GTA 6 with the sole intent of it being available exclusively for next gen consoles. PS6 & XBOX 5. That way it's as advanced as possible and they don't have to limit or hold anything back on account of the PS5 and XBOX Series X.

I'm not even mad at this delay. I never got around to buying a PS5. I've owned 1-4 but I just didn't game enough to justify spending $500+ on a PS5. I considered buying the PS5 Pro, but then decided not to. The PS6 is likely no more than 3 years away at the absolute most. I can wait that long to just buy that and skip over the PS5 entirely. And then I'll buy GTA 6.

So this delay kind of works in my favor. It puts us that much closer to the PS6, meaning the time I have to wait between GTA 6 release and PS6 release won't be all that bad. I just hope I can stay away from gameplay videos because I know I'm gonna want to check it out right away.

2027 in all probability.

I'm not speculating the performance of GTA6 & Witcher4's performance in current consoles because they're going to be Day1 purchases for me when the next-gen consoles are released. With the impressive graphics they'll have in trailers, it'll be impossible to have 60FPS.... Or at best have to make massive compromises with the resolution and detail.

I feel like the delays are starting to kill my interest. But of course I'll be salivating again when trailer 3 comes out. Can't kid myself. These dev times are getting ridiculous, 1 game for an entire console gen?

I wish that too, but it would have been a poor business decision.

They're doing it for the same reason why CP2077 was developed for the PS4 & Xbox One... Because there's tens of millions of them on the market, and they can always make a next-gen version for the new consoles.

Fired up GTA5 (single player) for the first time in years. Only 74% complete, lol.

So much wasted potential on a huge map, and no single player updates suck major ass.

Not ready for the grief in Online yet.. being a lvl 100+ OG I got a target on me.

Gta5 is one of the greatest disappointments in history of the industry when compared to the potential.

GTA San Andreas (2005) had three cities.
GTA5 taking place in the first city was... Pretty good, but quite underwhelming.
I, and many others, figured Rockstar would be doing what they did with GTA4 and develop two expansions.

Two expansions for the two missing cities with expansions of the map.

But that didn't happen... Because GTA online was printing money for Rockstar.. so why bother divert out player base from spending millions per day in micro-transactions?

That's why I have little faith in GTA6's campaign being satisfying.

Apologies if I already explained my grievance with GTA in this thread.

I’m the Don of a Mob family in GTA 5 so I’ll be there day 1.
Best part is that there won’t be flying nonsense that the last game put in towards the later years.
It’ll be all basic for the first few years.
