Multiplat Official Fallout 76 Discussion

I was pretty cagey just considering the premise; after impressions I'm definitely going to avoid it.

I'm going to wait for the cyber Monday sale.

im level 52 now, dropped a nuke today and had some other players drop a nuke yesterday and the experience is amazing you can power level like crazy. We have a guy who specced melee and is a 60 now and his damage is wild. If you have a group to play with this game is super fun, all the people who haven't played it and think it's bad can suck my dick I'm having a good time.

not to defend Bethesda, but a lot of this footage is from BEFORE they released the game (still funny)

does that mean it was still unfinished? and didn't they patch a lot of the issues straight away anyway?

I'm not sure, but it seems to be an absolute mess.

I agree, just don't like the idea of people posting beta footage as if it reflects the end game product. Not seen a single complaint about the water for example, yet everyone would complain if it was as bad as in the video. I also don't believe for a moment that they put no hack protection on their servers and that you can grab the IP's of everyone on the server you play on.

First off I played in a group every beta session on PS4 so that's about 30 hours coming in at level 30 or so. And then got to mid 30s before farming the nuke area and then we just shot up in levels to the 50 range in a really short amount of time. Basically if you don't have a group to share resources with you will get bogged down having to farm for material to repair weapons or armor, etc. Also using a build tool to plan out your build to be most efficient, my build is fucked up but they will be adding a way to reset your build eventually.

Theyre using the same engine for tes 6. Cos its easy for the workers to make content. Im sad.

The creation engine has been used since Morrowind. Sure it's evovled over the years but we can only take so many years of abuse from bad ai, crashes, frame drops, hitching, weird bugs and now very dated graphics and clunky gameplay. Oh and having to save scum.

76 is the start of the downfall.

I thought Skyrim and F04 started the downfall. Skyrim felt like way too little an evolution from Oblivion, and FO4 felt completely half assed. It looked like shit and still performed like garbage. How Bethesda, Ubisoft and EA do this shit all the time astounds me. People keep lapping up the slop.

I love Skyrim, it's one of my favorite games of all time. But I also wasn't big into Elder Scrolls before it. I played a little Morrowind and Oblivion but felt overwhelmed and gave up. I'm also not a hardcore rpg gamer so the accessability of Skyrim appealed to me. Fallout 4 was a bit disappointing. All I wanted was a bigger, prettier, better playing version of Fallout 3. Got it. But something just didn't do it for me. The story was lame and the world a bit uninteresting. At the end of the day I thought it was still really good just not great.

That said I'm pretty fucking pissed at Bethesda after pulling this shit with 76 and hearing that TES6 and Starfield are in the same engine. How much fucking money do you need to make before you invest in the assets that made you that money?! It's fucking ridiculous. Hey we made a billion dollars by making really interesting single player games. What do we do now that we've made all this money? I know make fucking shit online versions of our existing games and a bunch of mobile games nobody wants! Fucks sake.

It's all about the creation club and all that shit modders make for free anyway.

Agreed FO4 was the downfall. Rushed to market and lots of missing features which were in previous games like the "streamlined" conversation wheel.

I only meant 76 was the start for me personally. I will not buy this game on principal alone. Not out of hate, but love. Tough love. To show Bethesda, we are voting with our wallets for a better product and not a greedy cash grab.

Yeah, it was an easy no buy after FO4 for me. Bethesda doesn't give a shit about real gamers, though. If they did, they would have hired bug testers within the last 15 years.

still having a lot of fun, eat my cock

the classical radio station improves my enjoyment by atleast 35%

That's one thing I haven't heard a single thing about. What are the music stations like in this game?
the raider one has an annoying chick DJing, and there is a PvP one that starts like a hunter/hunted game or something but I haven't done it

the classical station plays jams tho
