Multiplat Official Fallout 76 Discussion

Agreed FO4 was the downfall. Rushed to market and lots of missing features which were in previous games like the "streamlined" conversation wheel.

I only meant 76 was the start for me personally. I will not buy this game on principal alone. Not out of hate, but love. Tough love. To show Bethesda, we are voting with our wallets for a better product and not a greedy cash grab.
I won't buy it because I don't like the pvp premise... not to mention I'm anticipating a LOT of RDR2 online play in the future.. coupled with my hiding in the weeds for an AC Odyssey sale for when I need a break from Red Dead.

Rest assured though, If FO5 comes out, I'll be pre-ordering that shit.

Don't do it man. We deserve better from our triple A games.

Lol at those sales figures, down 82%

Damn son, rekt ...
Good, fuck 'em. Don't treat us like glorified beta testers for a full pricetag.

It looks really mediocre tbh, like it doesn't accel in any particular area. I probably would have bought it at $30 just to try it out, but $60? Nah, not worth it.

I was looking around to see how it was received and couldn't believe how bad its getting slaughtered. This guy pretty much sums up dozens and dozens of videos just like it saying how awful the game is. I was hoping it would be better, a lot better.

I miss when Fallout wasn't shit. The franchise has been in a complete nosedive since New Vegas.

Yes, and so will millions of other people. Fallout is a flagship title which I'm sure I don't have to tell you. Most companies are lucky to ever get one true flagship title but Bethesda has been lucky enough to have several. Its Todd Howard and his extremely punchable face that needs to be outed here. He's the dumb bastard that couldn't tell this was not only a bad idea but it was the opposite of what all the fans wanted, which was Fallout 5. I don't know all the exact reasons why I hate Todd Howard but I know I hate that guy. I can't even stand to look at him when he speaks without thinking what it would be like to punch him in the face. I don't even like his name.

Bethesda Game Studios (BGS) has completely exposed themselves as the mediocre dev team they've become. After much reviews, previews and personal test runs, I'm completely baffled by this game's release.

Todd Howard has so much pull with the parent company, that I can't believe he didn't push for a later release date, or push to have this game released as an early access title at a reduced price. The latter I can understand why, as they want to extract as much money from us as possible. Why they'd release it in such a unfinished state, however, is mind boggling.

They're finally getting the backlash on a grand scale that they've normally been able to avoid. Sales are terrible and their reputation is being dragged through the mudd.

After bar raising games like Witcher 3, how could they think releasing such a shit show was a wise business choice? IF they supported offline/mods, at least modders could fix things like they normally do. Hell, even access to the console would let fix the FOV, or advance past broken missions. They are completely on their own now, and it's not pretty. Maybe Todd will finally have his shit eating grin wiped from his face lol

BGS is a lot like Dice (Battlefield devs) Both teams are notorious for bugs, but their games have generally been tons of fun, if not incredible in their day, so their bugs were excused. BFV is still great fun, but launch bugs are as brutal as I'd come to expect from them. Their terrible PR, Battlefront woes, and launch day product missing many features that should be out day one (we see through your free DLC deception EA) has let long time supporters zero in on issues they'd normally excuse, again bugs.

With BFV projections looking poor, and Fallout 76 tanking every which way, seeing these two Titans fall from grace is something I never thought I'd see. Hopefully they'll eat their humble pie and learn/grow from it.

Great post, well said.

50gb update today

all the haters can lick my balls, dropping another nuke today
that was a slow download but it's done and fixed the bureau of tourism quest and hopefully fixed the packs of molerats, wendigos, snallygasters, and anglers that kept following me to my camp.

From what I've seen things will just fuck your camp up continuously unless you build in a good spot, one of my buddies built on the golf course and he is surrounded by a robot security force that kills everything

I have seen massive improvement since the beta and the game has been out a week. I want to reiterate all the hater can suck my nuts.

im level 52 now, dropped a nuke today and had some other players drop a nuke yesterday and the experience is amazing you can power level like crazy. We have a guy who specced melee and is a 60 now and his damage is wild. If you have a group to play with this game is super fun, all the people who haven't played it and think it's bad can suck my dick I'm having a good time.

I'm level 35 and having a ton of fun with this game.
Base building, exploring, blowing shit up, and just raging with friends is what this game is all about.
The BETA started off rough, but I'm glad the full release is much better. Bethesda's also addressed all the major issues people have been complaining about, and will patch it properly by the end of 2018. All the haters I've talked to either have watched too much twitch and think the gameplay is meh, or people that take Youtube reviews as their own opinion.

Just play the game yourself and get some friends.

Bought the game and I am enjoying it a lot. Never played any Fallout game so I think I've been missing on some good fun.

Lol someone is running around roleplaying as Preston Garvey

Shit like this makes me want to play but I'm content to read impressions for now

Guy tries to return his copy of Fallout 76, is told he can't, proceeds to tear up Gamestop. <45>

Timestamped.

Ngl this commercial and the "take me home country road" trailer were cool. Probably the best thing to come from this game

I hope the next Elder Scrolls isn't like this. I never really enjoyed the Fallout games but Elder Scrolls is my favorite game series of all time. I hope they don't fuck it up.

How does it compare to previous Fallout games? Is it better than F4?
