Multiplat Official Fallout 76 Discussion

I just hit level 43. Ive only played through one of the wastelanders quest lines I'm still trying to get through the main story. Although I think I'm getting close to finish the first ally quest line.

Having a full set of T60 power armor is key on that east side of the map. Fucking hell over there.

This is true. Even tho the NPC's are pretty well voice acted and the dialogue is good, it is still a multiplayer game and that's why the world can't react to one player's actions that well (save the story areas where you only can go alone).

I really don't like the multiplayer aspect, although I have to say the community seems nice this far. I've vomited on a player wearing Santa Claus costume and bought some aluminium from a latex nurse character who was building a straight up farm.

I love the vending aspect to this game. It's great to see other players sell ammo, plans, etc for like a quarter of the price that npc characters have.

I'm in the Mire area too. Love it! Only level 22 tho. I never use power armor in Fallout games as I like to play sneaky characters. Gonna start the Wastelanders questline next. Had to wait until I get to level 20 but an ally mission distracted me.
 
Strange forces compelled me to get this and i'm actually enjoying it. Only level 7 at the moment but i finally got a pump action shotgun off a scorched so i was very pleased with that. Why they didn't include this awesome weapon in Fallout 4 is just stupid.

I need to find a damn power armor station plan. I've been running stacked Sneak perk cards. The addition of the bow is a real nice touch.

I bought a plan for 900 caps, but you get one for completing the Miner Miracle quest too.
 
I'm still only level 10ish. I only feel the need to play it for like 30 minutes before going to sleep, but it's been fun so far.

I have a problem with the graphics, though. The lighting and auto exposure is very noticeable. Any time I move my mouse around, it goes from light to dark. I've spent more time experimenting with the .ini files than I have playing the game. And with it being an online game, sometimes I can find a server that runs really smooth, and other times it runs like shit, so it's hard to tell whether my tinkering worked or not.
 
It's very clunky like Fallout 4 was. I was hoping they would've smoothed out the actions and animations a bit. Hitboxes are bullshit with the player's wide axe swing having a small precision point of contact while enemies have tracking on their attacks and should that fail and they fly past you the hit will still register anyway.

They still went with the dogshit idea of not displaying holstered weapons which is disappointing. I hope that terrible idea doesn't seep into the next Elder Scrolls game.

Yeah the hitboxes are not working that good. I'm playing a sneaky sniper build and you can basically only hit torso and head with the scope. Legs and arms just won't connect (without VATS)

I had a very modded Fallout New Vegas run a year ago and I can't believe how much better that played compared to this. Still enjoy F76 to a degree tho. I have no problem with the graphics neither.
 
Hit 45 yesterday. The gauss rifle is life. Single shot level 20-25 enemies with one fully charged round ftw.

Yeah, i'm still having fun with it. The positives outweigh the negatives and the world i've explored so far is fantastic.
 
Didn't pick up on Mort being voiced by Jason Mewes the first time. Had to go back to him and strike up another convo.
 
I'm actually having a blast with this game. I could imagine it being totally dreary without the few NPCs roaming around, but so far it's been fun. They definitely were trying to go the survival route, which I like. As someone mentioned earlier, there is *alot* of environmental story telling. Some of the side quests are depressing, but the writing and voice acting are better than previous Bethesda games. Seems like they're using more than their usual people.

I've only level 19 right now. I haven't explored that much of the map yet, just been trying to stay close to where the quests take me.
 
You guys see this update? Wonder if any of this is going to have to be paid for? Hope not.

That's pretty lame, but as long as you aren't required to spend money to play the additional content, that's all I care about.... especially new questlines line with the Brotherhood thing. Hopefully the people that spend money on this stuff is just a requirement to boost this battle pass shit.
