Ok, I've just been leveling up my Vigor. It's at like 50 now. Ive been told to get it to 60

what should I lvl up after Im done with my Vigor?

probably your weapons main scaling damage and some endurance or mind depending if youre caster or melee. i like to stack endurance so i can carry more stuff rock better armor and run and attack for longer. i've always found it rather useful.

ive cleared everything this run except the dlc radahn. right out front his doorway, gonna have a smoke and lube up first before i put myself through this bullshit again.

i think my mimic tear took him down the first two times right after i died. hoping i can take the glory this time.

fucking almost had him 3rd try. one more fucking hit and i missed it and then got instakilled with my mimic . now i know how this is gonna go down, it's gonna be another hour or two of bullshit.

GOD SLAIN

i had a great fucking run. i'd say i got real lucky. after a whole bunch of bullshit runs i finally got my mimic in without getting flew into and smashed and me and my mimic worked in tandem together for once. we just took turns smashing him along. got a good stagger in and smashed him some more.

only needed 4 heals and he tried that flying meteor comet instakill bullshit on me again but i went all rollie pollie everywhere and somehow eluded the first part of it and managed to get a heal in before landing the killshot

these dlc bosses were way harder this time around. but the radahn fight went so much better for me than i imagined it would. that scadutree avatar literally almost broke me though. i was starting to get mad.

i wanted to see if he was still laying waste to malenia for everyone, or if he moved on to soloing the dlc radahn guy. and he is now "let me solo them"

turns out he got banned for half a year for modding a fortnite dance into his game but he's back now

apparently he did some no-hit runs of dlc radahn wearing nothing but a bucket on his head.

I AM NOT WORTHY!!!!

decided just to plow through the 4th journey just for the purpose of getting to the 5th. level ups are coming few and far between now. gonna just do the mandatory stuff and skip the dlc this time. i might have a rougher go next time with the dlc but i guess i could just farm albinaurics. the payoff will be so much better.

i aint gonna set any world records or anything with this speed run. but got rennala and godrick down, got my lift medallions, killed a few random dragons and shit along the way and made it to the capital in 56 minutes and 34 seconds. i figured it would take me around 5 hours to plow through this but i'm probably on pace to smash that.

alright, made it to that crumbling azula in 1 hr 35 mins and 1 second. no deaths so far and probably the first time i havent even gotten creamed by the fire giant. feeling pretty OP in the base game, i might just speed myself through this a few more times just to get to the 8th journey. the DLC will be a struggle but i feel like everything else won't really be too hard on me at the level i'm at. this bloodfiend's arm just wrecks shit. just wish it wasn't so damn slow and ugly.

2 hours, 5 minutes and 17 seconds. died once to the elden beast and also to the godskin duo, but damn, i flew through that way quicker than i thought i would. i could almost get a couple more runs in today.

only gained 8 levels and i skipped most of the whole damn game though but i guess that was kind of the point.

alright fuck it, now that i put the controller down for a bit ive decided im gonna crush through the dlc this run too. why the hell not? i just don't like how spread out everything is. it feels like i have to spend way too much time on my horse just to get anywhere.

and then there's the abyssal woods, which is completely fucking empty and is probably the worst slog of the whole damn game and i can't even get on my horse because it got some sand in its vagina. normally i would altogether skip that bullshit if it wasnt for that cool fucking haunted mansion thing.

but whoever designed those woods needs to go get their dicks caught in their zippers. i don't know of a single person who enjoys going through that area. i don't know if their intent was to just leave us with a giant barren desolated area that we have to walk through with some really stupid mechanics to put up with just to piss everybody off, or if they just got squeezed for time and had to release it like that.
The woods were annoying but I hated the area at the top right of the DLC map the most. Those damn snakes kept freezing me in place and I didn't get how to stop them.

i just get on my horse and try to run like hell. and then get back on my horse and try to heal and skiddaddle after getting ambushed by the thing that spawns in

seemed to be safer going down the right side until i approached that horn thing. same with the other one on the cerulean coast. that was some bullshit mechanics too though.

i used to try to kill the snake guys who shoot those pink things at me that freezes me, but everytime i get over to him, there's always another one in the distance that starts firing off at me too. since then i just try to avoid them and book it on my horse.

I tried doing it slow and careful at first until I realized the level of bullshit and ran back. When I did try again I ran on the far left side and made it pretty far but still got hit at the end and had to fight my way to the end. Sometimes you feel satisfied when you finally do something but I was still pissed off after lol.

So question for the more hardcore gamers in here...

I haven't owned a console for maybe 15 years, since the early xbox360 days. I just bought a PS5 and started with Stellar Blade... which took quite a bit to get used to all the buttons and it really took me quite a few hours until I wasn't getting wrecked just by random trash mobs.

Fast forward a couple of weeks(I've only been playing occasionally) and I finished it and played through again on hard New Game Plus mode so I'm fairly used to the controls but I thought I'd ask, as I also bought Elden Ring + expansion when I bought the console... as a recently returned gamer... given it's a fairly notoriously difficult game, am I going to get my dick kicked in if I attempt to play this game or should I try out some of the other games I bought first?

What are the other games?

There's no wrong answer, all good games. The good thing about Elden Ring is if something is too hard you can jump on your horse and go around it and return once you've levelled up.
Yeah, the good thing about coming into it mid console generation... there's heaps of good games. There's also Wukong and Space Marine 2.

I think as long as you have some patience and go slow and level your character up and explore areas thoroughly before moving on you will be okay. I suggest picking the Hero class and just level Vigor and Strength at first and then figuring out what kind of weapons you like as you go.

Thanks for the hints.
