Since my main character is on ng+4 with a build that has been nerfed, and no more respec items, I may just have to do another playthrough
That's funny you say that because the character I was using was also on NG+4 and I was said, "Screw it, let's do another playthrough."
Turned out to be my favorite run yet.

I thought I'd have to respec but I'm melting stuff with an old Rivers of Blood build using the bloody helice instead of RoB. Bleeds everything in two hits and does good damage.

right now im torn between moving on to the 4th journey on elden ring, finally giving sekiro its rightful shot, or continuing on with ac valhalla. first world problems.

IMO if you haven't played Sekiro then that has to be the next game.

i made it to the boss dude of the first area. got my ass handed to me.

havent picked it up since. basically i was just seeing how the game would run on my old pc. think ill have to download it again and try to give it a fair shake sometime.

Well I just discovered two whole areas with bosses that I didn't know existed. As Joseph Anderson said:

This isn't Dark Souls 4. It's Dark Souls 4, 5 and 6 all in one.

The Elden Ring player who fought its hardest boss over and over until an expansion announcement is hanging up his sword: 'I had been doing it so long'

"The announcement of Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree expansion was met with widespread adulation, but it held a special meaning for JPNB, a teacher by day who had committed to fighting Elden Ring megaboss Malenia, Blade of Miquella, over and over again until such a reveal happened.

"I was on my commute to work listening to an audiobook when my friend called me on Discord," JPNB told me of the moment he found out about the announcement. "I felt a giant sigh of relief over my body, but also a bittersweet feeling because I had been doing it so long."

What a "mad genius!" :)

After months of not playing this, I’ve decided to return to it, so I have a few questions. Any tips on how to beat Godrick? Is the Sacred Uchigatana worth using? What is the best way to make your weapons stronger?

Try only dodging Godrick for a while until you learn his patterns. His attacks are pretty slow and telegraphed so he has lots of openings once you can recognize them.

Haven't tried that one but uchis are fantastic. Dual wielding them was even better.

You need to find a smithing table or blacksmith to upgrade your weapons. It requires smithing stones.

Elden Ring Claims 'Over 9 Billion Deaths' Since Release
Enemies and NPCs are the leading cause of player deaths at 69%.

"Bandai Namco is continuing to celebrate the first anniversary of Elden Ring by sharing a morbid but hilarious infographic on the number of times players have died in the game. Spoiler alert: they've been killed over 9 billion times to date."

I'm probably accountable for around 500,000 of those deaths. :(
