Never played any souls game, this one lure me to try because its open world and things i saw with bosses is amazing to me, beautiful done scenes. I know ill regret it but is it smart to give it a try? I dont know how does this kind of games usually work, leveling, craft, gear, drops etc. If someone could give a me hand and help with my decision.

This one seems like it will be the most approachable game to newcomers. There are many methods to victory; you just have to find the one that suits you

Ye i heard there will be many screens with " you died" but ye, will give a try and then probably just skip it. I really hope something will keep me in game as much its that hard

Yea they did but it wasn't an official review. So more of a preview and everything so far based on that has been positive. At least I haven't seen any real negatives.

Yeah those can’t possibly be the minimum specs for a game that can run on the base launch model Xbox One.

Looks like I was wrong and those minimum specs were legit.

My PC can easily run it....its just that now Im concerned. From isnt really the most reliable dev when it comes to PC ports. PS5 version looking more and more like the better option. Hopefully its actually optimised well for PC tho....

Well I’m a disgusting console pleb anyway so it’s PS5 all the way for Elden Ring for me. I just thought it was rather odd that the specs would be that high given that as I pointed out, here’s a game that’s supposed to run on base launch model Xbox One, so unless it runs like absolute fucking dog shit on the One like Cyberpunk did at launch I was rather surprised at the information in @Madmick ’s post.

Well I’m a disgusting console pleb anyway so it’s PS5 all the way for Elden Ring for me. I just thought it was rather odd that the specs would be that high given that as I pointed out, here’s a game that’s supposed to run on base launch model Xbox One, so unless it runs like absolute fucking dog shit on the One like Cyberpunk did at launch I was rather surprised at the information in @Madmick ’s post.

They took the specs down when he posted....then put it back up today. Its gonna be a POS on PC, or its gonna run like shit on older consoles.....

Well I didn’t hear about any major concerns for the network test a couple of months back, which was available to One and PS4 but not on PC iirc.

A vertical slice or a demo is not indicative of the final game.

But tbh From games are only weird on PC and not base consoles. Maybe im worried for nothing. My PC can run this with ease, just hope they fixed the RPE shit.

Call me paranoid but I get it to some extent. That's why I order games I really want to play on day 1. I know people who love to wait a year or two for a game and grab it at 20 bucks but I'm always thinking like what if you die man? I've had too much tragedy in the past couple of years from losing family members that I am no longer going to just wait it out for something I want. Never know when your time is going to come to an end.

I've already traveled to over 25 countries with this mindset. This world offers a lot, why the hell would I not want to do as much as I can while I'm alive. Sorry for not adopting a nihilist mindset.
