That’s one way to finally dispel any remaining notions of Winds of Winter ever coming out: Martin dies of a heart attack after rage quitting after his first invasion.

Anyone jumping into their own character in their first playthrough?

I don't think it was a leak since tt was a video that's a few hours long made by a person from Game Informer. I didn't watch but I read some highlights but stopped after it mentioned the number of classes. That was all I was really curious about.

I figured this would be the case.

Its like Martin wrote the story of Gwyn, Nito, and the witch of izalith killing the dragons and Miyazaki set the game in the "present" Where Gwyn is hollow, The witch is the bed of Chaos, Seath is insane. etc..

I dont think we will talk much spoilers. I even put it in the chat rules. Mainly there are 2 sections: PVP matchmaking and "Tips and Tricks" so like build advice and all that.

I very much appreciate the invite though I will likely decline in the end I suspect. When it comes to Discord I don’t understand it and go full cracker company executive.

I don’t know what Discord is. Frankly I don’t want to know. It’s a service I can do without.

This is good though maybe it will be rolled out soon. With the PS app that @Valhoven mentioned in another post it would be great. I've really been enjoying the app more then I thought I would. I can see when my buddies are online and quickly message them to see when they are ready for me to hop in.

Probably on the PC (if it is powerful), you can play it in the best way possible.

I like my PS5, a lot, but the gap between consoles and powerful PCs is too wide

Eh I have both and I honestly can hardly even tell anymore. I've had the same games on both and it looks great on both and I don't notice much of a difference. I have it preordered for PC but I actually think I'm going to switch it to PS5.

I don't know which is better, but I do not have a PS5 while I do have a beefy (by my standards) gaming PC on a beautiful standing desk and a huge monitor.

PC might be better depending on your setup but i tend to game on my PS5 the most these days and that's where i'll be playing Elden Ring unless i hear about shitty frame rates.

I wanted a collector's edition but sadly they all sold out, so i had to get the launch edition. Still hyped to open it up and have it in my hands.

I always prefer PC. My computers are for work and entertainment/gaming, so I like being able to transition from work, to a game, to a tv show, to sherdog, with simple clicks. I have them both hooked up to my big screen tv, and monitor.

There are also mods to think about, free MP, ultrawide support etc..

Graphics wise, if your PC sucks, it's going to look amazing on PS5. Any game coming out in the next couple of years will look/run comparable, regardless of your PC specs. It's really all about the framerates for me.
