After my 3rd playthrough of Days Gone, i had planned on playing Dead Space, but my rig sucks and i have a ps4, so i got Evil West instead. I was hoping to revisit elden ring because i thought by now there would be dlc.
 
Anyone given the Iron Ball(s) a go? Shit looks amazing but I don't know if i'm ready to give up boiled prawns to get them.
 
My Grafted Greatsword is level 6 and my Colossal Greatsword is level 15. It still doesn't hit as hard. I feel like you guys are powering up your weapons somehow. I don't know how to do it.

1 more level up on the Colossal Greatsword will make it better or equal to my Grafted Greatsword.

They aren't even close really. My Grafted Greatsword hits for almost 900. The Colossal Greatsword hits for almost 800.

I feel like my Colossal Greatsword should be stronger.

i was actually meaning that weidman could use silva's busted ass leg as a controller to take down the elden beast with, but that could work too

man this whole time i forgot weidman snapped his leg exactly like anderson did lol

I got the Falling Star Beast mandible. My guy is starting to look crazy. I'm starting to try to branch off into magics since that jawbone is intelligence.

This is about where I left off last time I got bored of playing. After Raya Lucaria, I don't know what to do. I guess I'll try to find the land of the giants.
 
I just fought Starscourge. Yo I switched all my potions to magic except 2 because I was playing around with the Star Beast Jaw.

I fought Radahn 75% of that fight with no health and I was beating his ass. He got me in the end. I couldn't heal.

The Grafted Greatsword can knock him down. I dropped him twice.

Radahn is tough but it sounds like you're doing well. Keep it up, Tarnished.
 
And if you think what's on land in Elden Ring is bad, just imagine what's in the ocean.

Hopefully the DLC takes us out to sea to that crashed boat for a quest. Fight an Elden Ring style Kraken.


That's the thing I wonder when I open the map every time. What's up with the crashed ship and what monsters and bosses live in the ocean
 
I killed Starscourge. 4 or 5 tries. I'm using his armor set with that skeleton helmet now. They go together nice and I can still medium roll

Actually got some good play time in this weekend. Hit some areas I had skipped. Finally cleared out the frenzied village and the madness tower, and cleared the Black Knife catacombs. Fuck those skeletons.

Still can't take out those the Beastman/Knight combo and it's starting to piss me off.
 
I'm fighting Crucible Knight. He's the hardest boss I fought so far. He's programmed to read buttons presses I feel.

I can beat his partner no problem but he beats me up. I got him down to 1 hit a bunch of times when I just run at him swinging for the fences. Im using the Star Beast Jaw for some reason. I haven't even tried my Grafted Greatsword yet. It's faster. That's next

Input reading is pretty horrendous in Elden Ring. It's the only thing that spoils the game for me and yes Crucible Knight is terrible for it.

With him(and most enemies) it's about finding counter opportunities where the BS input reading won't punish you e.g. he is open to maybe 2 hits with a greatsword after he finishes attacking while two handing his sword.
 
He's a button reader. Gaming masters such as myself can instantly pick up on this tactic..

He's programmed to read your buttons and he's designed to counter with speed. So with these pressure sensitive buttons on these new controllers, he knows what you are going to do when you press that button down even 5%

That's why I said I had the most success just running at him and swinging. He can't read what I'm going to do. It's a coin flip on beating him that way though and so far he keeps winning.
