In the first mission? You have to use your double jump, so jump once to reach the monkey bar and then jump again in the air in order to reach the building on the other side.Im stuck on the part where you jump out of subway car

I had forgotten but there are actually two jumps in the first mission. Nothing too difficult once you get the hang of it.Yes!
Cannot get timing right. So frustrating
Where is the Game Genie when you need it lol

Mick Gordon is refuting what Marty said about him a AMA a couple of years ago. Shame this relationship deteriorated like it did. The 2016 soundtrack is one of the all time greats.

Happy Birthday DOOM
Really does feel like Quake is the red headed stepchild at ID.I wonder if they’ll do anything cool for its 30th anniversary next year. I remember making a thread here for its 20th anniversary in 2013 and posted a video IGN did of a coop play through of Episode 1 Knee Deep in the Dead between some IGN editor with John Romero. I love listening to Romero talk about gaming history and the old days of development of Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake. The guy’s memory and knowledge is encyclopedic.
I’m also a bit salty that ID software/Bethesda did literally nothing to recognize Quake II’s 25th anniversary yesterday. A lot of us Quake II hardcore fans were really hoping for a remaster and console port like what they did last year for Quake 1 but ID hasn’t acknowledged Quake 2’s existence since the beta for Quake 3 dropped in May 1999.
Isn't it true one of the earlier Quakes has a meathook of some kind? Thought I read that somewhere. Amazing series that deserves a reboot.Really does feel like Quake is the red headed stepchild at ID.

Pretty cool. I looked it up and you're right, there were at least two different modded versions but there was also an unused grappling hook in Quake 3 that never made it into the final game. Apparently you can enable it with the console command "/give grappling hook".Uh, there were fan made multiplayer mods that added in little grappling hooks to make traversing the maps easier but never any kind of hook in the base games out of the box.

The meathook in Eternal changes everything. I tried playing 2016 again and it felt slow and kind of boring. It adds so much to the gameplay that I can't go without it now. And I thought it was a new innovation but it's actually thanks to Quake.Huh, interesting. I’m not sure if I knew about that or not (since Quake 3 came out like 23 years ago). The first grappling hook I remember was in the Lithium Death Match mod for Quake 2, but I believe it may have actually been preceded with the Three Wave Capture the Flag mod for Quake 1 which I think may have had a grappling hook.
