Multiplat Official DOOM ETERNAL Discussion

The name of the gun with the grappling hook will hopefully be called the hookshotgun.
 
Would have been funny if they had Alex Jones come out and announce the release date.

It is even more menacing. All those poor demons trying to find a safe corner to hide from the Doom Slayer and there he gess hookin' right to where they are.

They should call it the Infuencer after all these "Toxic influencers on YT" making Urinalists havd to go to their safe spaces.
 
I don't see the 2 Demons on 1 Slayer online game being that fun. They better have Deathmatch again because the last one was awesome.

Sad nobody knew about it or cared. It reminded me of old school online Quake.
 
Mentioned it in the E3 thread but I'm so fucking glad they redesigned the Cyberdemon.

Hated his look in Doom 2016 and his classic design was always my favorite from the original monsters.

He brings up a valid concern that I've had regarding the 1ups. Some of Doom's greatest moments are those times when you're in a crazy firefight, doing everything you can to survive and barely come out on top. I feel like some of that might be diminished if you know you can just respawn with full health at any time.

Hopefully that shits only on the weaker settings and they don’t have that pussy respawn shit in my UltraViolence
 
Just ordered the $200 Collector's Edition from Walmart! (I regret nothing.)

I'm going to try the Store Pickup thing to see how it works. I figure that'll be my best bet if I want to get it Day 1.

On that subject... have any of you guys used or even seen Walmart's "Pickup Tower" yet? Here's a video if you aren't familiar with it. I'm assuming that's how I'll have to pick mine up (?), because it seems the tower is essentially an "Online Order" pickup station. My Walmart just installed theirs like a week ago, so I'm both intrigued and skeptical. This is all new to me, and quite scary if I'm honest. Times are a changin' folks.

I used it once but it wasn't anything like a CE of a game. Worked fine though, walked up to it, put in my info, it spit it out that was it.

It looks to have a lot more platform-y elements and very dynamic movement which is a plus for me. I love platforming and shooters with unique movement schemes like Titanfall, Tribes, & Quake.

Yeah, the movement looks like an awesome addition. Doom is all about speed and movement imo so the more the better.
