So, what's the over/under on when we'll see a Nightmare no damage run?
Also I've found a few sentinel batteries, where do I use them?
I'll double check. You can see.the hook under the gun move.and click when you hit it so it registers it just wouldn't fire. I read some other people complaining with the same issue on other forums. I beat it so if I do another play through I'll try again i guess. Still absolutely loved the game.
I watched lots of YouTube videos about it and I couldn't get it to work once. Didnt matter how close I was or when I was clearly aimed straight at an enemy. I tried especially when I got to that flying chick near the end where it tells you to use it on her. I even tried different difficulty settings. Nothing. I'm sure I would have done it by accident at least once if it worked as the double barrel shotgun was my favorite weapon in the game.Quick question: how were you trying to use the meat hook? Because what you’re describing - that you can hear it click when you push the trigger but it won’t fire, suggests to me that you’re not using it right. Not to insult you or anything, but you do know that you’re supposed to aim and fire it at an enemy, right? Because the clicking sound you’re describing is what it does when you try to fire it when you’re not aimed at an enemy, or if the enemy is too far and out of range.

Haha no worries. I'm dumb af when it comes to video games. I'm 100% sure this one isn't me though.Ok. It was just a thought, because I know when I first picked it up I mistakenly tried to use it on a ceiling to see if I could swing like Tarzan or some shit before I remembered what it was for.

keep your distance and let him come to you then counter himI’ve been progressing through the game fairly slowly, only one mission at a time, maybe one to two nights a week. Finally thought the marauder tonight. The first five attempts I was thinking “this is a really cool fight”
After the 12th attempt I was more like

[/QUOtehen he flashes green then quick swap to that railgun thing and shoot him as he's staggered
Started playing again. Reached the Marauder on Nightmare and he murdered me because he was hyperaggressive compared to Ultraviolence, and so I settled in with the expectation of it taking a while. But yeah, super shotty with an immediate Arbalest follow up must've dropped him in under 30 seconds (I think it must've taken only 3 or 4 before he went down). I laughed at how quickly he dropped.Once you get their patterns/behaviors down Marauders are a joke. I've went through the game 3 times now (UV, Nightmare, and UV with both extra lives mode and can't perfect perfection) About the only thing left to do is Ultra Nightmare (f*ck that)
if you are fast with the dashing you can pretty much keep them stun locked to death by fast-swapping between double barrel shotgun and the arbalest... The only times they are dangerous is when there are other mobs near them that distract you, get in the way, or hit hard.

Hated phase 2 of that bossAnyone else notice that the Gladiator boss looks like the Baron of Hell from classic Doom? I thought that was pretty cool.
Thats what the cheat disks are for...So the “fast travel” mechanic in this game seems rather useless to me. I didn’t realize it only worked prior to leaving a mission, not on any replay. I want to try to beat the slayer gates so I can unlock the unmaykr before going to the last few levels as it says it’s my last chance to do so. But I didn’t realize I was going to have to replay the missions in their entirety to get back to each slayer gate. Ffs, this will take me several nights to do unless I just say fuck it.
