druid build got to be real shit after level 35 or so. got hardstuck on a boss in act 3 and had to start a new build. went barbarian and got him first try but it was still hell.

My favorite part about playing a Necromancer is that the only viable builds have bone spear and all the gear that drops never gives pluses to the skill.

Only one items set will either gloves or helmet.

What build did you try? After level 15 or so I literally couldnt die on my werewolf. Beat Butcher without much issue around lvl 30 or so. I switched to Storm Wolf and its probably more efficient, but less fun.
 
Literally just beat the campaign a couple hours ago. Ive been plugging away pretty regularly since release. I probably missed out on around half the side quests. Game is stupid massive.
 
Blizzard better not nerf the ruins of Eridu before I get home from work tomorrow. I’ve been getting like a third of a paragon point per run from it.

I don't want to question you here but I'm having a real hard time believing this. I have a level 51 Werewolf and both times I encountered the butcher I got butchered. What build? What gear?

with druid i went heavy on summons & gear to boost core skill damage just because i couldn’t seem to dish out enough. i ended up skipping butcher somehow in that dungeon lol but brol was basically 4-shotting me so i was going through all my heals in like 30 seconds and resorting to running around waiting for cooldowns to expire and hopefully kill someone in the mob for a health drop

If you put the world tier down to 1 it's much more manageable. I hated going through the dungeon again, since you have to log out to change it, but when I met up with him again I got him my first try.

I agree that he's probably the toughest boss for WW Druid

i didn’t do much werewolf or werebear transformation at all which is maybe my problem. the attacks were so much slower, so i went with weapon attacks & sunk points into companions instead.

regardless, i’ve since gotten past everything that was troubling me with the druid build on my barbarian build so i’ll probably respec and finish that build when i’m done with the barbarian. i really wanna try necromancer though. gonna be a good amount of replay value in this game. i hardrushed the first 3 acts to get my mount so i’m gonna run around for probably 20 hours doing side quests and dungeons before i start act 4 lol
 
Beat the game. Ran into the Butcher for the 8th time and murdered the shit out of him at lv47. He can still eat all of the herpes cock.

Tried a couple. I spent most of the time on poison wolf. I found a couple of defensive legendaries and I was building up fortify really well combined with the wolves boost. Plus one item gives me a shield that makes me immune to dmg for a few seconds if I get damages when Im at injured, but only once every 90 seconds. I posted a pic earlier in the thread but I found a 2 hander off Butcher that stayed with me for a long time, where using dash during shred would pump out an extra 100+% poison damage instantly on anything that was already poisoned. So I respecced for the dash ability over poison claws and that pumped out better damage on top whichever skill spread rabies 100% faster.

Overall I wasnt taking things down as quickly as other classes. Id actually usually fail any of the events where I had to mow down waves in a time limit. But It got to a point where I just wasnt using any pots even on bosses. My AoE wasnt melting mobs down quickly, but it was efficient where Would basically melt down any sized group as quickly as any other sized group so I tended to just heard everything together as much as possible.

This is why the Rogue with the peek a boo defense is the best

Brol couldn't catch me. I literally had him swinging at air.

i’m like level 37 and i have a level 22-ish chest piece that has this ability and i can’t bring myself to change it. im missing out on like +200 armor but im literally protected more with the ability than better armor.

U can extract that ability once and put it on a new one it's just you will need to find it again for another upgrade

yeah you can unlock the aspect by completing a dungeon but i think i need a certain upgrade material to imprint it that i don’t have. i’ll double check when i’m out of work
