Quick inventory management question in early endgame regarding rares: after a while should I just take a further look at sacred items or do you guys check everything? It's so exhausting to browse through a full bag when you just want to get to the next dungeon haha

I mainly look at lego imprints. Quick scan of gear for green numbers, otherwise it’s sold/salvaged.

65/66.

Last encounter was a pain in the ass.
Thanks for making me feel better. I’m 63 now and I’ve been going back and periodically trying it since 58 and haven’t had any luck. Guess I’ll just hold out for a few more levels.

well i found my first sacred unique....the 100,000 steps boots

cant really make any use of it.

found a few more today. they were even worse lol.

Just ran into the butcher again right now currently 3/3 against him

Finally got a deathless visage. Rolls were low but it’ll do for now.

Jesus Christ, how many Tier 2 NM dungeons do I have to do before a tier 3 drops. I’ve done like fucking 12 and I keep getting 1s and 2s.

I only had to do few tier 1 n 2 dungeon before I had like 3 drop. Right after I finished doing a tire 3 now I'm able to craft them. So now I just break down all the lower ones now

This game is massive holy shit.

I just realised just how big it was last night. I am only lvl 46 and just finished the second act but looking at the map, nearly 3/4 of it is still blanked out as I haven't explored it yet

Soooo

I finished act 1, did a few quests in act 2 but then went to try to wrap up act 3 cuz there's an aspect for rogues you can get after clearing out dry steppes (Aspect of Unstable Imbuements).

I have been skipping all the cutscenes. No idea what is going on in the story. All I know is that if I see something ugly I kill it.

That's a good enough plot for me.

Item power is generally a better indicator of how good a piece of gear is.

Yeah but I look at these items with higher item levels and they have stuff like strength and dex which are useless for a necro. High numbers of useless skills/stats are still useless.

You can make them at the shop

Just had my first session with my buddy, loving this!

We played Diablo 1 coop on the PS1 back in the late 90's, and have played every installment coop since. I always preferred using a controller for action RPG's, especially melee, as I play Barbarian. I'm so glad we can use controllers for PC interchangeably (really happy about the dodge too). He's always the Wizard, which make us a good duo, so we're right at home here, enjoying all the improvements we've noticed.

I absolutely love the aesthetics here, exactly what I hoped Diablo 3 would be. Coupled with the compelling narrative so far, at least intriguing main antagonist, this is a dark medieval fantasy fan's ideal setting.

We had fun with Diablo 2 on our Switch's last summer, this feels more like its successor than D3 did.

The combat is fantastic, so weighty/meaty. We're really early on, only doing a few things outside Kyovashed. it's going to be a great few weeks with this.

Anyone getting Dark Souls 3 vibes from the graphics. I feel like I'm in Lothric, just isometrically.

All in all so far...

Welp, I'm hooked. My only issue is that I'm having issues with lag/rubberbanding occasionally even though I have really good internet and have done plenty of troubleshooting. I just wish they would have offline play like the other games so I wouldn't ever have these issues. It absolutely kills the emersion. Playing on a Series X.

Servers crashed while I was playing an hour ago. Just checked back on it and it says im in the que with a 1400 minute wait....

<FutbolThink>

This is why I hate non locally hosted games

I was at the tail end of a long dungeon when I got kicked

Love that every other time I try to play this I can't.

Yeah this game should have an offline mode

It doesn't? Oh' lord...

D2R was absurd with it's servers kicking me out every half hour, and I eventually had to play offline. D3 ain't much better, but at least it didn't kick you out of your session. If D4 is working with some "always online" bullshit, it's gonna be a nightmare. Blizzard servers are embarrassing.
These assholes just lost a sale.

That's some BS that not only doesn't benefit the player, just the creators, but also burdens the player.

Bethesda has lost their way.

First Diablo 4 player to reach hardcore level 100 loses all progress thanks to always-online requirement

The first player to reach level 100 in Diablo 4's hardcore mode has met an unfortunate demise, after the game suddenly disconnected.

Currently, there's an intense race going on in Diablo 4 to hit level 100 with a hardcore character, as Blizzard has pledged to immortalise the first 1,000 players' names on Lillith's statue in the game.

Leading the pack is Twitch streamer Souaïb 'cArn' Hanaf, who proudly claimed the title of being the very first person to reach level 100 in the punishing permadeath mode.

But, unfortunately, just when cArn was gearing up to take on the final boss, a sudden disconnect from the server left his character dead and defeated for good.

In Diablo 4’s hardcore mode, if your character dies, then they’re toast for good, forcing you to begin anew from level 1.

To prevent players from exploiting the system by intentionally disconnecting when their health is critically low, the game treats a disconnect as a full-blown death sentence.

If the game hadn't been always-online, and require a permanent internet connection, then the character wouldn't have died.

As a result, when cArn restarted the game, he was crushed to find out that his hardcore level 100 Barbarian character - whom he had kept upgrading for a whopping 82 hours - had met their tragic end.

The fact that the streamer’s character died doesn’t take away their title as the first player to achieve this remarkable feat, meaning that his handle will still be engraved on Lilith's statue.

The competition will come to a close when either 1,000 players achieve hardcore level 100 or by the end of September 1.

Yeah, I've died in normal mode because of server lag and it's bad enough rubberbanding just walking around phasing through areas.

I've a hardcore rogue that I'm slow playing and I've almost been bitten on them with the server issues.

If we gotta be "always online", Blizzard needs to have some sort of compensation for this shit.

What is it that these companies don't get about "always online" being a shit fest that nobody wants? Fuck me, "Sim City 4" was a looooong time ago, and they still haven't learned that it just causes problems. It's not like it would be impossible to keep the same restrictions in place for leaderboard chasers, and also have an offline mode for people who just want to play the game.

Starting to get annoyed by the drastic difference in XP and drop rates for solo playing vs group. I’ll be farming helltide and a random guy will run through the corner of my screen and 400 cinders will drop and I’ll gain an eighth of my XP bar. The moment he goes away I’m back to like 1 ember from a pack of mobs and no XP. Absolutely retarded.
