No they are called droids.THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME
I AM WAR-WOOF!!!!!
Got on in the end. Quite enjoyed the gameplay as a sorcerer blasting everything with Incinerate.
Didn't die until coming up against the Den Mother which i don't know how to beat. When dodge is still on cool down there isn't any way of avoiding her attacks so i'm stuck here for now.
That's an awesome gif.Me exploding corpses the whole weekend.

That's an awesome gif.
On another note, does anyone else feel like Diablo made brawlers obsolete?
Think about it.. we used to have a bunch in the 8 bit and 16 bit era, Double Dragon, Final Fight, TMNT, Streets of Rage.. but then the genre went dormant after the 16 bit era.
At its core Diablo is a brawler. I'd like to see a Streets of Rage and Diablo Mash up, in a modern setting. It would be nuts....
It would be awesome if they're able to sift through what is most certainly a myriad of feedback, weed out the stupidity, and take to heart some of the constructive criticism that could make the game great.I replayed it as a barbarian on hard this weekend. The difficulty felt a lot better on that class than the others. I died quite a few times and even thought I might not be able to kill a few bosses at times.
In a lot of ways the game feels like it’s in between Diablo 2 and 3. Like they improved the things people hated about three to be more like 2, but didn’t want to go to far. The graphics are darker but still kind of cartoony compared to 2. The difficulty is harder but not nearly as hard as 2.
There’s definitely a potentially great game in there but I think it needs a lot of tweaking.
Yeah I agree with the skill trees needs work and that leveling up in general isnt that great. I’m not a fan of the monsters scaling to your level. Also, I really hope you don’t level up that fast in the real game. If you do you’ll have filled out your talent tree by the end of act 1It would be awesome if they're able to sift through what is most certainly a myriad of feedback, weed out the stupidity, and take to heart some of the constructive criticism that could make the game great.
My biggest recommendation is to vary the skill trees in terms of how points are allocated. I don't think the linear fashion is bad, but I think having it that way for every single class is not advisable. Mix it up. I did the Barbarian and the Druid, I just didn't have time to max out the other characters but I started a Necro and noticed that he begins with skills. I think that variation is a good start.
Another recommendation I have is to tone down the huge city stuff. The part at the beginning with the small town and the little chapel that appears to be settled on a nasty piece of hell, was awesome, and conveyed a feeling of classic Diablo that was hellish and scary but not outlandish and unbelievable. The big town with everyone bustling and feeling safe is not bad, but starts to encroach on the "New Star Wars Trilogy" effect which would kill the atmosphere for me. I'd say if that is the extent of the bustling town imagery, I'm fine, especially if later acts really hammer in the sense of isolation and despair.
They have two months to get some of this in so it's not impossible, and I really hope they're able to do it. After my initial euphoria of "Holy cow it doesn't suck", I've been able to come back down and be a little more objective about some of its flaws. Overall I'm happy to say that it looks like I was wrong about this game. If they can expand on what they have to make it a little less repetitive, and have viable endgame challenge, I'll be very happy. Some of the stuff they have in here might be going away in the main game, such as each area matching your level, which I find to be very irritating.
I think that they have a good framework. I think small details could make a massive, massive difference. One of the Necro's abilities is "Decompose." The notion they're implying is that the spell causes the flesh of the enemy to rot at an accelerated rate. Give us a really nasty visual denotation of that concept. The sound is there, and with just a little more oomph they could really turn the class into the special idea that it is, rather than just another "Hold the button so the purple stream takes the enemy's HP down" thing.Yeah I agree with the skill trees needs work and that leveling up in general isnt that great.
