I’m finally at the point where it says to go meet Hanaki at the bar? I’m trying to finish all side missions . Should I play any phantom liberty missions or wait till main is over ?

You wont be able to progress if you go meet her at the bar. That's the end questline for the main game.

Finish everything else, i mean everything phantom, side quest etc

Hanaki at bar starts final mission in game (game warns you when you try to enter)

So, Idris Elba in an interview last week remarks he wants a live-action film adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, featuring naturally his DLC char (Solomon Reed) + Keanu.

Down. CDP's world translates well visually to film, IMO.

Fans have been asking the tough question, though, with who would portray V... My personal vote would be for Austin Butler after thinking on it, who played Elvis in the biopic and Feyd-Rautha in Dune: Part 2; he's got that V cool, I think, and to me resembles the game's OG male cover art.

Elba’s is not the only one interested in pursuing a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077, and in late 2023 the game’s creators announced that they had teamed up with entertainment company Anonymous Content to begin developing such a project. Said to be set within the same world of the original game, and 2023’s Phantom Liberty expansion that first introduced Elba’s character, currently the project is still only in its earliest stages, and little else has been revealed since its initial announcement.

The issue with a CP2077 movie is its impossible to adapt it into a movie, and that doesn't count Phantom Liberty.

I'm reminded of the pitches movie producers made to GRRM to adapt his ASOIAF novels into movies. Not a TV show, movies. Which are typically 2-hours long. It's simply not possible and it still being good.

I'd be 100% down for Reeves & Elba being in a SciFi movie though.

Even if you look at cyberpunk book adaptations, like Neuromancer for example - that project has been getting bounced around Hollywood like Lindsay Lohan for decades and has seemingly never come close to production

And Sci-fi in general is a risky investment, where even very solid sci-fi movies can bomb or underperform at the box office. Would be surprised if anything came of this tbh

Do the side missions ever end?! I’m trying to do most of them before meeting Hanoko at club.

I keep getting messages and calls , also a date with Panam

I'd say a Cyberpunk2077 streaming show would have a much higher chance of being picked up for production.

Though if they could afford Reeves or Elba for a multiple-months long shoot would be in doubt.

From what I understand, both Reeves and Elba only required for their face & body to be scanned for another actors to do motion capture, and they spent a few days in the booth to record VO.

Sheesh, you must have been playing it non-stop to play through the game since the heist & Phantom Liberty in 8 days.

Will report back with my status. I did no research on how to play or rank up . At one point the game felt to easy and I put it on hard .
I changed my style to submachine guns and assault rifles
Finally learned how to use some consumables
Overall I do suck ass but the game is epic

Sucks the next cyberpunk game wont come out til 2034

This is an interesting video. Highly recommended.

Alot of the discussion amongst some gamers has been 'I bought & played CP2077 on Day1 and I won't play it again.' Due to the numerous updates and expansion over the last four years it's worth remembering how godawful it was at launch, especially on the base PS4 & XBoxOne.

This video is that reminder.

While C/punk proved a redemption story three years into release, I also want players to remember state of play at launch as well as QA + marketing that fell somewhere on the spectrum between bad faith and deception; end of day, players were treated like guinea-pig nothings. I hope Witcher 4 is a huge success but F this studio/pub’s darling label.

Yup, can't say that misrepresents the situation.
CDPR had an A+ cred rating with their fanbase after Witcher3, unlike to many developers/publishers that repeatedly misled gamers into buying their products.

And then CP2077 launched and the backlash was unlike we've ever seen before or since.
It's not an exaggeration to say it was an outright betrayal.

While I make alot of reasonable assumptions about their reasons, like they bit off far more than they could chew with their promises made during development... there's a few aspects I make no excuses for, like the E3 2018 demo that was presented as in-game footage was actually all prerendered.

And now I look at CP2077's current quality and say CDPR has earned back alot of their credibility... they can never build it back up to what it was.

Movie wont work, it needs to be a series and you would need to ask which ending for v is canon (personally think its the secret one since it aligns with vs dream but thats just me)

Cyberpunk genre series can be done, altered carbon S1 one proved that

Just go see Sonic 3 lol. Reeves is Shadow and Elba is Knuckles

I just realized that theres phantom liberty comic with reed as main character that acts as a short story setting up event of phantom liberty

That could be made into film

I'd love a series. They could do a cool movie too, but it would have to be a side story. There's so much lore they can pull from.
