Came here to post this; my friend messaged me last night with the surprise update. Strong work, Nova. I like what I'm seeing (especially the snow interaction) but not feeling the cartoonish, tinny audio FX. One to watch for, no doubt.

Dat lightning Dragon OMFG. My body is ready. Looks absolutely incredible. Reminds me a lot of Enslaved: Odyssey into the West. One of the most underrated games of all time. Ninja Theory is one of the most underrated studios too however. That game's protagonist was essentially a monkey-dude hybrid who fought with a BO as well. I guess I can get with the character style then even though it looks exactly like Planet of the Apes.

Chinese govt will allow really good fantasy games. They can't do sex or realistic violence but they make up for it with fantasy stuff. I don't mind playing Chinese games but the issue is that they have little content they can recycle.

Those look great. At first I was like what the hell is this soap opera but then it got interesting.

Team Ninja go from taking a decade to make Nioh to churning out three games in five years. I just hope they improved on enemy variety and unique music for each boss.

Are you thinking of the Wolong property rather? This is being developed by a newcomer in Game Science, who are based in China and have to date had some sexual assault/studio culture issues, iirc.

Yeah, you're right, wrong game. I was thinking of Wolong Fallen Dynasty. This is even better then. Maybe I didn't know about this project before.

Looks gorgeous like the other Chinese and South Korean games but theyre vertical slices etc.

These guys developed two mobile games, their CEO is a creep and used their last fake trailer to drum up capital and hire more devs, whove recently quit.

You see an amazing looking Chinese game/South Korean game? Its 85% likely to be vaporware/fake.

That’s really unfortunate. I had no idea about those issues and admittedly don’t follow the studio. Last I heard was that they released the clips to bring on new devs but it looks like that backfired.

Still have hope for Pearl Abyss. Should know more by the end of next week.

This company seems like a piece of shit company...and like most overhyped projects, theyll release a piece of crap. Completely different from the vaporware theyll use to hype it up.
