Discovered this last night!Agreed with literally everything you just said.
I do, however, highly recommend giving "Escalation" mode a shot. It's a mode that has gotten very little attention, but it's basically like the best of Conquest and Breakthrough in a single mode. You play on a Conquest-sized map, and as the round progresses the team who holds the most flags earns 'points,' and the first team to 3 points wins. Each time a point is awarded to a team, an objective is removed from the map and so the number of objectives becomes smaller and smaller, leading to more and more intense fighting. What's awesome though is that the play area itself remains large and open ala Conquest. And so you get the freedom of Conquest with the intensity of Breakthrough (especially late in the game), minus Conquest's nonsensical 'ring-around-the-rosies' progression and Breakthrough's overly linear, meatgrinder-y nature.
Here's a guide on it from DICE themselves (why this isn't available somewhere on the main menu is beyond me; Escalation doesn't even get its own '101' section in the Training Grounds menu):

Yes you can change the action of square because reload and exit vehicle or interact is also square so ive exited from a flying heli because of that there is an option to swap it.Long press is reload in vehicles?Seems like the opposite of every bf game ever.
Why they changed the basic control scheme is something I just don't understand.Yes you can change the action of square because reload and exit vehicle or interact is also square so ive exited from a flying heli because of that there is an option to swap it.
The ui is actually my only gripe in the game its so confusingWhy they changed the basic control scheme is something I just don't understand.
Engineers can carry up to six rockets, what you do is when the match starts ask a support to drop ammo or run towards ammo, i load up to 4 intially and 2 of the javelin mines then setup those mines and then hunt armorAfter playing a fair amount I'm convinced that this is not a good bf game.
The maps are terrible and are an order of magnitude too narrow. And trying to flank is almost impossible because almost everyone in armor basically sets up shop on the perimeter and doesn't move. I've filtered off more than half the maps because they're basically COD domination.
The controls that have been good for SO long have been ruined. Especially on vehicles. Guess what. Your medbag has been on right arrow for ten years? it's ONLY on up now.
Locking basic equipment behind challenges is stupid. Oh and the challenges don't register anyway.
Leveling up guns is unbelievably slow. I have to get the rpk to level 22 to get a silencer? Probably not worth bothering.
Engineers don't have enough rockets and too many mines.
You are correct. However, ive found that resupplying is hugely glitched and it doesn't always work either.Engineers can carry up to six rockets, what you do is when the match starts ask a support to drop ammo or run towards ammo, i load up to 4 intially and 2 of the javelin mines then setup those mines and then hunt armor
Conquest maps are pretty big, my longest Sniper Headshot is 819MLOL, glorified COD.
Those maps are tiny!!
Shame on you DICE
