Season 3 GAMEPLAY trailer!

I haven't watched it more than once, but the two big things I noticed:

Maybe a hop up for the G7 that turns it into a two round burst? That could be a HUGE buff.

AND LEGENDARY LOOT ROOMS! Find a key on the map and unlock a room with nothing but purple and gold loot!

My buddy came over and is going to buy a Playstation today. He wanted to check out Apex, so I made him an account and played a match to give him an idea of the game.

This is what happened:

His Pathfinder is more stacked than mine.

Might bribe him to let me keep this account tbh.

No way that was his first match.

No! It was me. He wanted to see the game to get an idea of how it works.

And...... His account got suspended due to the name lmao

re45 with disruptors and p2020 with hammerpoints is the funnest goddamn setup i have ever used. with pathfinder and his movement, and how fast you can strafe with pistols its almost not even fair when youre fighting up close. nothing feels better than cracking armor and swapping to a p2020 with hammerpoints. so op lol. ONE MORE DAY FOR SEASON 3 BOIS!

As long as they've been out, I've yet to use the Hammerpoints. Might fuck around and give it a shot. I just always seem to find a more preferred weapon than the P2020 by the time I see the hop up.

I run the Alternator but swap for the R99 if I don't find DR first. I think I still prefer the R99 late game. The difference between the DR after a shield has been broken feels so weird. The R99 kills quite a bit faster since DR was nerfed so much since they debuted. So, if there are 5-7 squads left and I have a DR Alternator all kitted out, I'll swap for an R99.

I saw a bunch of people on Reddit complaining that the R99 is only good at super close range, but I've come to the conclusion that most people on the Reddit are terrible at the game. Since the 301 nerf, the R99 is just as good at middle distance engagements with the bonus of being much better up close. I don't even see a reason in picking up the 301 anymore. That might change with the new Hop Ups:

(Rumored)
High Caliber: Hop Up for the 301 that does more damage when you select single fire, but each shot depletes two rounds. Should put it roughly on par with the G7, but with a faster fire rate.

Double Tap: Attachment for the G7 that turns it into a two round burst. If it maintains the same fire rate, it becomes a MASSIVE buff. The G7 is already probably the best sniper rifle in the game not named Kraber. I don't use it very much, but it has the fastest fire rate and highest damage per second. (240 DPS with headshots, 120 DPS with body shots. Add one headshot in 4 shots and it does 150, blowing the Longbow out of the water.) If the bursted shots stay on target and do the same amount of damage, it will be disgusting.

Ryan Reynolds for Mirage in the live action, please

Lupita N'Yongo as Lifeline!
Danai Guirira as Bangalore!

Actual gameplay from the new map AND Crypto!^^^

Tomorrow, baby!!!! Tomorrow!!!! :)

Lord willing!

Here is the new map:

The layout looks very familiar. Almost like a makeover on the first. Won't really know until I play to see how differently it plays as far as the meta will go.

Apparently the Skullpiercer and Disruptor Rounds are being removed entirely. Double Tap is confirmed. Two round burst for G7 and EVA 8. Purple.

Anvil Reciever (not High Caliber) gives you higher damage when using single fire on 301 and Flatline while consuming two rounds per shot. Gold. (I never knew Flatline had a single fire option until today)

Pathfinder's grapple will have less range while people within Gibby's dome will gain reduced healing time. More Gibby buffs and Path nerfs are just retarded at this point. Pathfinder already takes the increased damage of the much smaller characters while being as tall as Gibby. If they're going to be removing mobility, at least get rid of the damage increase.

The Golden Backpack has a new ability: Guardian Angel, which means whoever has the backpack gives extra shield and health to downed team members upon reviving them.

Gold Shield now has the same effect as the backpack did.

I like the change since now when you hit someone with a gold shield, you'll know they have fast heal and it gives you the chance to strategize against it.

R99 will have magazine reductions. White will be 20, blue will be 23, and purple will be 27.

Longbow with an even lower rate of fire. With SP gone, and a lower fire rate, I think we'll see the G7 way more often now.

Looks like Bloodhound is going to be just about useless with Crypto's drone around. Large hitbox with no damage reduction, and both of his abilities give away his position. He was already pretty bad, but will likely be completely replaced in the meta.

Overall, I don't like the changes very much. Other than the 301 nerf that made it a tier-2 weapon, I think the weapon balance was in a pretty good place. Now the Alternator and Re45 basically just go back to being early game placeholders until you can find a 99 or 301. The R99 will almost require a purple mag in the end game, when the blue mag used to be sufficient. Triple Take is still the weakest sniper rifle and I don't think the charge rifle will get much play, since it's basically a slightly stronger Havoc with the select fire. At least you have the option for the fully auto Havoc. The mechanic is clunky and even with awesome aim, the fact that the initial laser does a small amount of damage will give away your sot so enemies can slide or jump or literally any unexpected movement to dodge the shot.

Pathfinder is my favorite character and probably the best choice in the game, but nerfing him again might be a huge problem. Without his mobility, he's not particularly good. His grappling is his best weapon, and nerfing it without taking away the damage increase seems like a bad move.

I think the game balance was in a really good place and now it's going to be all over the place.

I was excited about new additions to the game, but my hype has basically been wiped out. I'll still play, but now I'm not planning to buy the battle pass immediately. Going to need to see if the additions are worth more than the shitty balance changes.

As a Gibraltar and Caustic player, I'm loving the buff to the big man! :)

Gibby is already dumb strong at this point. Easily the best offensive ult in the game. The gun shield buff makes him almost impossible to outgun face to face. Plus 15 percent damage reduction? And now his impenetrable dome will also include faster healing?

At this point, if it weren't for the sheer size of his hitbox, he'd be the single best legend in the game by quite a large margin. It's actually retarded how they keep buffing him.

Is it the dome? I thought they gave him the same buff as lifeline's passive?

I'll have to double check, but I'm fairly certain I read that anyone under the dome would have a decreased time for usable items (healing and ultimate accelerators).

But even if he did just heal 25% faster, that would still be huge and unnecessary. They're not even trying to pretend he's balanced anymore.

Don't forget that bullets don't slow his movement either.

So basically Gibby:
175HP Shield when ADS
Impenetrable Dome that enables fast heals and or/individual fast healing
15% Damage reduction
Not slowed by bullets
Strongest ultimate in the game

Con:
Big as shit

Gibraltar for President! :)

I'm about to start maining Gibraltor. I thought they did a good job of bringing him from the bottom tier to high mid-tier but now they're just laughing at us.

Nerfing Pathfinder because the Reddit pussies hate that he has mobility even though that's literally all he has. He takes 5% increased damage and has a hitbox the size of Bloodhound.

If you can bait out his grapple, he's on par with Mirage and Bloodhound in a heads up gunfight. Which is to say "almost entirely useless".

People refusing to play the game with strategy and then bitching on Reddit (the only place the devs listen to fans) is slowly lowering the skill ceiling and causing massive balance changes in favor of low skill players.

And I'm saying this as a dead average player. But the fact that lowering the skill ceiling is starting to impact people incapable of brushing that ceiling at their very best is absurd.

I was on to something this entire time @Strychnine , some peeps are not going to like what i got coming for them with the big guy.lmao

And SCRUBG with the cross-plat play update today my sherbros.
