That does look like a good deal for Miami. Didn't Deng turn down 15mil per year from Chicago?
Not sure but I know he turned down 3 for $30 with them last season

Jimmy is still confused. Signing Kolby for $50 million, letting Nash play last year so he gets paid by the Cankers instead of insurance.
Not really sure why they signed Hill close for that much. It's not like he's a well known/popular player.
Massacre as the one and only TRU big man on the Cankers would've been epic. Playing 48 minutes while cheerleading his team at the same time.
Assuming Kobe plays (all indications are a full recovery), that's money well spent.
lol this again
Kooby for $20+ mil is turrible
Getting out of the second round in the bestern conference is more of an achievement than winning the ECF
Shabazz Napier removed all his twitter communication with LeBeta and unfollowed him
Will you support that with an argument that makes sense this time? They aren't really going to make more money as a franchise with Kobe on the court? The would be in the finals this year or next had they chose not to pay Kobe what he's worth?
By the way, after thinking about it a little I'd guess the Sixers would pay Kobe 20 million for a couple years while they stockpile picks and injured first round selections. Philly is the closest thing Kobe had to a hometown in the USA.

crazy how accurate this dude was back in 2013:
You still going to be a fan in 2 years when Leb leaves again or is it going to be like the last 4 years?

If you're saying for business reasons then yeah there's a chance the Lakes might be better off with Kooby at whatever ridiculous amount (probably not, but there's a chance). But if you're talking basketball reasons, Kooby's deal has crippled the Lakes. They could've been serious players in this free agency if they didn't have that bloated deadweight contract.
They would have kept Dwight and probably attracted a free agent if Kobe wasn't there. That would make them a playoff team which means more money.
Well, basket ball is a business so making money (or at least breaking even) is probably on a lot of teams' minds. Don't you think? Not everybody is the Nets owner. lol.
How did the deal stop LA in free agency? They had more cap space this year than most teams. Carmello considered LA only because of Kobe. LBJ wasn't gonna go to LA. Bosh got maxed out in Miami. Lowry stayed in Toronto. What great talent were the Lakers unable to secure because they have a max player on the roster? Nash and Pau are/were the more crippling deals.
lol so you follow basketball to see how much $ the owners can make? Wins are whatever but as long as your team's owner is making $ then that shit is exciting!
Nice segue into reason #2 that the Kooby deal is so terrible. No one wants to play with Kooby. He already ran Dwert out of town and the Lakes had to deliberately move up their meeting with Melo so that Kooby couldn't make it and ruin whatever chance they had at luring Melo.
Without the Kooby factor bringing them down, you'd probably be looking at a Lakes team right now with LeBeta and Melo slotted to start at Forward.
