I was hoping for another 2 year deal from Pat. Would have preferred it over bringing Birdcan and Top 5 Chalmers back.

The good thing about re-signing Birdcan is that with Bird rights he's only a $900k cap hit. And we're getting Chalmers at a pretty big discount since he shit the bed in the playoffs and killed his market value lol

Wade will be the primary playmaker again like he was before we rented LeBeta

Lelbron Who?

Do the Lakers know they can't use Kobe as a player-coach? Probably the only way to make the up some of that salary, but it's against the NBA rules. Just give Brian Shaw the job already and let him get some players he might want.

lol I love how Chilly tries to talk shit when a) he's Canadian, and b) his team's starting PG is an empty suit

Mudiay spurning SMU to play over seas. Whack that he can't be in the NBA right now.

Wade should make friends with Colby and get that German hookup.

I'll just say this; if you don't understand why it's a terrible contract when you're paying $20+ mil a season to a guy in his mid 30s who's suffered two major injuries the last two seasons and is physically incapable of playing defense anymore, then I don't know what to tell you.

Should have paid him more if anything. When the one true signed his new contract he INSTANTLY became the most underpaid player in the NBA.

the one true is the most underpaid athlete in sports. $24 mill for the biggest draw, greatest all time talent, and greatest all time winner is highway robbery. obviously he took a gracious paycut to help acquire talent but still, front office should have insisted on more.

Colby/Lin/Nash = 47 Mil salary in 14/15, sprinkle in some Swaggy P and Jordan Hill, and its impossible for the Lakers to build a contender this year...

...meaning the Lakers will have 1 year left to build something... anything... that looks even remotely like a playoff team (don't forget that half the salary will go to Colby next season), and lol @ that being the best case scenario when it's all said and done.

For the sake of winning, he should have taken around 10 mil a year.

He's already taken a sizable, GRACIOUS cut. A bit of a fallacy in your post as well - the Lakers have already built a contender. All we need is a 80% health one true and we possess one of the leagues top 2 players. You can literally surround him with bums (see first 3 peat, and most recent 2 peat) and he can carry them to the promised land barring any friendly/rigged or drummed up false accusations from sloots who should have been given 25-life for their false accusations.

Excited to see MasSacre get solid minutes, till he fouls out. Dude plays D and hustles, but verticality rules never apply to him apparently

Nerlens Noel looks like the second coming of Wilt Chamberlai, dude is beasting the summer league !
