Again why should she have to know anything about firefighting? Past commissioners lacked such experience and Bonsignore had plenty of experience where it counts, in EMS which accounts for most of the job.

Basically you saw she was a lesbian and assumed on that basis that she wasn't qualified. From my POV how is that not obvious bigotry?

First off,i hate trump and his picks for scotus-every single one of them. Kbj is much more qualified than any of them-my objection to that is that when you state very clearly that as potus, “I will only consider black women for this position “ that is very clearly discrimination. What the fuck else do you fucking call that if not the very definition of dei? You’re insane.

As for the shitshow comment-he has multiple radical democratic socialists appointed to high positions in his cabinet as well as him being one himself and he is very clearly trying to get diversity as the most important aspect of whom he appoints. That’s the only reason I pointed out how “wonderfully diverse” (as one article praised his choices) his choices are. He had multiple anti-Israel appointments as well as no Jews according to one article-I don’t know, one of them is named Katz and I thought that was Jewish, but who knows-the article I read was from two days ago after he announced the appointments.

He claims he will have the Israeli prime minister arrested if he ever comes to nyc-that will be a shitshow and likely an illegal act of war imo-not that trump didn’t just literally do that early this morning in Venezuela.

Basically, what I get from all the objections to anyone that has objections to his appointments or labeling him a radical is throwing out the racism card because how dare someone point out that a muslim leader has more Muslims than white men and zero Jewish appointments.

As I have stated, when the sitting president stars multiple times “I will ONLY CONSIDER A BLACK WOAMAN FOR THIS POSITION” it is the very fucking definition of dei.

And no, I would absolutely expect some level of representation in any government. I am sick of congress being almost nothing but rich white men and women-all of them very wealthy and privileged and if the are not wealthy when they enter congress, they become obscenely wealthy. For this discussion, the absolute perfect choice is to point out ilhan omar, who went from being in debt in 2018 by as much as 65,000 due to student loans to filing that she and her husband are worth “between 6 and 25 million.” They accomplished this by funneling money from her campaign into his business-2.1 million in 2020 and by her meals for kids program that is reportedly full of fraudulent actions and it also reportedly funneled money into his business somehow.

With all that said about me being sick of seeing all of congress extremely wealthy since they took office or for those that were already wealthy-becoming disgustingly wealthy (looking at you, pelosi) I am 100% against factoring in sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or any other factors other than skill and experience-but I will simply not believe that skill and experience was the primary factor in most of his appointments. Some, obviously, have to have a lot of experience because it is the biggest city in the country and one of the biggest in the world-but many are coming from limited experience and share his socialist ideas and have that special diversity box checked
