Elections NYC mayoral race

Word around the campfire is that Trump is offering Adams a nice position to drop out. Might offer one to Silwa as well.

Trump is the hero Gotham needs. Even if not the one it deserves

Sadly enough NYC is about to get worse

@nhbbear is this a legit thing they can do or say ? I know they have their assigned sections and all but …

Terrible attitude.

How did that fat, short woman passed any test to become a police officer?

probably because nobody wants to be a police officer and they are desparate, hemorrhaging staff. That's been part of Zohran's pitch - make the job less shit by narrowing the scope of their duties to only focus on police work, not use them as all around problem solvers.

Dang, he pwned her. He doesn’t have enough time to go from running for mayor to running for gov in just a year… maybe AOC plans to throw her hat into the race

Zohran Mamdani refused to back Gov. Kathy Hochul for re-election after she gave the lefty Democratic mayoral nominee her coveted endorsement.

Hochul on Sunday endorsed Mamdani in the November mayoral race, claiming to have found common ground with the democratic socialist, including on the issue of affordability.

But Mamdani on Monday declined to return the favor, and did not pledge his backing of Hochul’s re-election bid next year — at least for the time being.

He told reporters it was premature to ask about “the thing beyond the thing.”

“My focus is on November, and I’m excited to have the governor’s support in that fight for November,” Mamdani said.

The establishment Dems are so fucking dumb. Congratulations! You endorsed a guy who hates your guts, and will work to bring you down. Not even a major player. A Mayoral candidate that you're gonna have to distance yourself from, once he starts destroying that city.

Apart of me hope he wins, we can see the results of those stupid utopian like ideas in place.

Feel bad for NYC though. But it will help the red waves

Adams drops out finally. Now the Rep should do the same.

I don’t think Sliwa will drop out. He seems like the type of person who would rather the city burn and be able to do the whole, “I told you so” thing.

Same. Don't get the strategic vibe from him at all. He’ll stay in. Hopefully state and national republicans can successfully encourage enough of his voters to go to Cuomo.

Not that it truly matters, I don’t really see much political difference between Mamdani and Democrat leaders of other big cities. Or even somebody like Bill de Blasio other than identification.

But it’s always nice to see the DSA lose.
