Yes the time frame I'm referring to was more so from 2020-2022.

I still think NYC is poorly run but the underlying economic foundation its so strong that its population and economy can still grow despite mismanagement.

It is only free until the majority of people completely adopt it. Then they will start charging higher costs knowing people will have to start paying it. Nothing is ever free, there is always a plan or agenda tied to it.

If it’s going to be free for the customer, then the costs have to come from elsewhere. Equipment maintenance, gas, wages for the workers, etc. that stuff isn’t free. Someone who’s good with finances may be able to make it work. Some dipshit socialist; probably not.

Most grocery stores are slight profit grocery stores already, they generally only make 1-3% net profit margins.

Then they're doing something wrong. If my local small market sells peppers at $1.49/lb and is making profit, then why save on or whole foods $5.99-7.99 right now.

If the government run stores save only 1-3% then they'll eventually fail.

I highly, highly doubt save on food is making 1% profit.
