Property developers don't typically attach loans to other properties.

Hardly any property developers continue to extend loans so far out, and even fewer are willing to take such large loans outside of their holding companies and extend that collateral to their own wealth.

Anyway, I saw that this thread turned out to be a complete dud. No indictments, nothing of note, and it was dropped by all parties once it was clear it wouldn't operate as the october surprise trumpers wanted. What's your excuse?

That's how leverage is made. You use one property as collateral to help buy another property. By using other properties you can lower the risk for the banks and get better rates

And a smart investor would only put up those properties as collateral. He wouldn't attach the rest of his personal assets and risk the domino effect of failing on one loan and having that impact the rest.

I also noticed you guys switched this from "all billionaires do this" to "all real estate developers do this." Wrong in both cases, but I understand the need to move the needle when your premise is blown up in one post.

Maybe. Last I checked they were considering prosecution but the guy is a waste. The fact that he can do this shit with who his dad has been for 50 years is what's wrong with the system but don't worry, Joe has been at this long enough to know where the legal line is for him to not get charged, just like Hillary.
