Now that Gane hype died down again can we reflect back at his lack of power and how vulnerable he is

Gane's lack of power is way overstated. Only fight I really saw him wind up on his punches was the tuivasa fight and he did get the KO in that fight.

These guys aren't going forward on him without fear. They clearly get hit with shit that they respect and don't wanna be hit by again.

Mousasi is still durable as fuck and Pereira has not fought a grappler like him. People forget how good of a grappler mousasi is because of his striking.

Blood diamond will probably be cut and never become a star because he is too lazy and doesn't take the training seriously, but his style is flashy as fuck and he could have been a star if he was hard working.

Ulberg is definitely a more complete striker than izzy. He has stopping power in everything: Jab, hook, Check hook, Straight punch, uppercut etc. Izzy only in his lean back counter. Ulberg problem is his cardio.

Gane uses sharp strikes with good balance so he can roll with punches. The trade off , he stings more often scoring but less often drops his opponents. Stipe similar. Francis in contrast swings for the fences. Tai , Lewis like the big shot since they r less mobile. Tai has pretty good speed too. Gane picked Tai apart and he eventually was worn down. Gane could load up more on his strikes but unless he sees a great opening Gane tries to keep his balance and guard. Works pretty good. Gane also can stuff TDs better. A Brock bull rush might be a good approach since less likely to get KOd but Gane has good footwork and can evade. Jones also does not often 1 punch KO either and he has been very successful, but JBJ can also grapple so not a good comparable.

In order for Jones to suck, Gane must be garbage and never good.

Gane is in the top 5 becuase of how shit heavyweight is, if he had the same skill set he has now but in lightweight he would get taken down or soundly outstruck in every fight cause no one would be scared of his complete lack of power. Stuffing wrestling takedowns from a judoka who didn’t beat any impressive names to get as highly ranked as he is now isn’t a great feat
