Elections Nov. 4 Election Results

Trump has made the same mistake Biden made pretending inflation does not exist. Prices of everything is too damn high. Trump is treating inflation like it’s The Epstein files. Mid terms are going to be a bloodbath even with all the gerrymandering bullshit.
MTG was surprisingly smart. She got off a sinking ship.

This is what I think as well. Republicans are making the same mistake Dems made. People are hurting financially and they just want to keep pretending it's not true.

"They're just blue states" is pure cope. Dems outperformed the polls. Independents swung towards dems after supporting Trump last year.

The midterms are looking really bad for republicans unless the economy miraculously improves in the next year.
I'm genuinely hoping this kind of shit causes the R's to invoke the 25th amendment long before the mid-terms instead of waiting until right after as they appear to be planning.

It was also a big night for Dems at local levels.

21 towns in CT flipped from Republican to Dem control.

In my town, which had been Republican controlled for over a decade, Republicans lost every single race. There is not even a Republican on the BOE anymore.

The Dems didn’t do it,

The MAGs won’t do it..

Also as a cliff note: The Rs lost their civil war, it’s just MAGA now.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Because they dont have any real solutions and dont care to try and find any, so just yell loud, ride the wave and profit for as long as they can until the "other side" of this two headed snake regains control and does the same thing

Rinse and repeat

The constant hard swinging pendulum of the Extreme Reaction Social Media Politics Era is gonna be one wild ride, no doubt about it, wonder if any of us will survive...
I've always believed it wouldn't be some natural event that destroys humanity, but us ourselves would do it. Sometimes it seems social media is speeding up the process and we are watching the process in real time.

I agree with you but I think the smarter approach would to be to at least acknowledge that you know people are hurting and you are working on it. At least give people hope that you see them and are working on a solution. Just pretending there's no problem gives them no hope and no choice but to go another direction.

Social media has tapped into rage porn. Its just non stop rage porn, and they have a bunch of people addicted to that dopamine hit. It was not like this when I was growing up.

Life is too short to be constantly pissed off all the time.

As bad as the approval ratings for Dems are these days, the GOP is probably worse once you take Trump out of the equation. Even his approval is far from stellar also.

A lot of the Dems bad rating comes from their own voters who are disgusted that they aren't fighting Trump hard enough.

It's not like these are soft or persuadable voters.

I'd say that the most zealous and motivated voters in the country right now are those whose primary motivation is to vote against Republicans.

Trump only has 30% approval from Independents. Those are the ones that win you election.
I would say 60% of America are probably straight ticket voters. You could run Satan on either side and he would get at least 30% of the vote. Once you lose the Independents, your team is proper fucked.
Having an old man saying prices have come down when they have not is not going to help your team win, no matter how many billionaires buy all of our media. You are not going to buy the message if you are skipping meals to feed your kids.
The question is are the GOP smart enough to spin away from Trump or double down and get smoked in the mid terms. Crazy as this sounds MTG is the only one who currently is smart enough to do it.
The GOP could do themselves a favor and make sure everyones health insurance does not increase next year by 20% or otherwise they face an uphill battle. The problem it seems they are more concerned with dog whistles and cutting taxes for their Elite employers. That gold plated ballroom ain't helping optics either.

Exactly. The MAGA on this forum who have been talking about how the Democrat approval rating is even lower than the Republican's don't seem to understand that it's because liberals are sick of the Democrats being shitty politicians who run shitty campaigns and don't fight the GOP the way they ought to. It's not because they like Republicans more.

I feel the need to remind you that people said the same thing about TV.

Once again, are we doing to pretend that a democrat winning in NJ NYC and California voting in that prop is surprising?
The win in Georgia should light a fire under the GOP. All the other races the Dems won, that Trump won just one year earlier should be concerning.
The GOP media machine, downplaying all this with its only CA, NYC or NJ, while pretending places like VA and GA did not happen, will not help them at all in 2026. It will make it worse, because the GOP will not make the necessary changes. Bret Baier was trying to sound the alarm this morning, but Fox News will go back to rage baiting their viewers and then when the GOP loses the house in 2026, their viewers will be shocked it happened.
Dont worry, by Friday, they will blame the candidates they ran, all the while Americans will still be pissed off with every thing being more expensive and no lesson will be learned. Maybe Trump can brag more about his gold plated ballroom, while telling middle class Americans to eat cake.

I totally agree, but I can't help reminisce about 2022's failed Red Wave (except in Florida, of course) that was signaling the end of the right wing. It was more or less the same faux enthusiasm coming from the left, right up until they had to put the spotlight on their sharp as a tack, puppet in chief and his cackling, thoroughly unlikeable VP, of which they had no plan B, C or Z for. Lo and behold, opening the door for Trump and the right wing fascism takeover, again.
